Unity Gain, .... the upshot of cooperation.
Taken on a Mix Stage at Sony Pictures Studios a couple years ago. This week marks my 10th consecutive year working for them, but the big change is I'm working from home in another state.
When I took the picture it would have never been an option. It is incredible how fast things can evolve.

playing around with different images, I enlisted the help of the kids who had been arguing all day. this image brought them together, made them laugh, poke fun at me but made them realise that may be, just may be they did actually like each other!!! #lifeofateenager
Boston
Social cohesion is when people share common values and goals, and have a sense of belonging to a community. It's not just about race or faith, but how people get along with each other in their local area.
Boston has a long history of migration, driven by demand for labour in the agriculture and food production sectors. The population dynamics of many cities and rural areas have changed, and this has sometimes created social tensions.

Low angle framing of pigeons perched on an electric wire with a beautiful blue sky in background.
A humble yet significant creature embodies a spectrum of powerful symbolic representations in various cultures and contexts.
As a unity symbol, these gentle creatures represent the power of standing together, of finding strength in numbers while maintaining your individuality.
They teach us that true harmony comes from balancing personal peace with the broader community's wellbeing. Embracing the pigeon's message means cultivating an inner calm that withstands external chaos, making us a beacon of peace and harmony in a turbulent world.

In early 2017, in celebration of the enormous contribution that Indigenous peoples have made to this great land, the CNE commissioned Ojibway artist Kris Nahrgang to create a Unity Pole.
Incorporating the traditional medicinal colour palette of indigenous peoples, red, white, black and yellow, embellished with other colours, Kris has created a distinctive 25-foot pole out of a cedar tree which embraces such universal symbols as the turtle (mother earth), the bear (family), and the eagle (flies between the spiritual and the mutable worlds), to create a dramatic Unity Pole and a lasting legacy honouring the Indigenous peoples.
The Unity Pole will be on display outside at the southwest corner of the Administration Building on Princes’ Boulevard.

Another view of the bench and Unity sculpture. The children have been pixellated as they're wanted by the police for not socially distancing themselves (joking!!)

Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel stands tall through the mist & haze amidst the lush green hills of Satpura & Vindhyachal range. The gushing river leading the viewer to the Statue of Unity was very symbolic to me; I felt Sardar, the Iron Man, somehow never got the prominence he deserved & always remained shrouded in the mist & shadow of Nehru.
The Statue of Unity has made amends & like the river has guided the nation & the world that he was one real pillar of India's freedom movement.
Jay Sardar!

Unity is a farm close to Brampton. The small hillocks around here are topped by groups of trees. Readers of Watership Down will know them as "hangers" from the Anglo Saxon for wood on a hill.
Note signs of rabbit excavation below the trees.
