The Wirral Railway ran from Birkenhead Park to West Kirby and New Brighton. This is the only location the railway crosses the road by a bridge.

The unique, surreal, stunning, incredible landscape of Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon on the south coast of Iceland. Part of the locations charm is every day is unique, and this was a fun late in the day shoot with huge blocks and big waves. Froze my feet and nearly got doused several times but way too much fun not to dash between the water and ice.
Looks best on black.

Unique Stanier '5MT' 4-6-0 no.44767 'George Stephenson' at “Rabbit” Bridge with a Loughborough-Leicester North train. This is the only "Black 5" fitted with the unique Stephenson valve gear
The brown Hooded Parrot was having a great time in the heavy down pour that we had one of the days and the rain certainly gave us some unique opportunities to photograph them in ways that were quite different than if had been a sunny day. It was awesome to see them having such a great time. They love the forests and are found in the lowlands as wel as the middle elevations .

A night shot of Singapore River and Singapore Skyscraper's . This place is also called Boat Quay
There are Bars and Restaurants alongside this river, tourist and locals flocked this place specially on weekend.
The bridge is called Elgin Bridge .

In the middle of the Volcanic Eifel lies the waterfall Dreimühlen - it is considered the most beautiful in the entire region.
It was created about 100 years ago during the construction of the railroad tracks. Since then, it has been growing every year due to lime deposits.
A few years back I had a unique photographic experience. I came across 2 foxes that were running along the side of the road. They did not seem to mind my presence, and so I walked with them for about an hour, before they decided to split up and wonder down different trails in the park. I went with one of the foxes, and we walked down and back along a marsh trail for over an hour, he hunting for voles while I tried to capture the moments. During that hour he caught 14 voles (hungry fellow) and provided me with over 500 pictures during the 2 1/2 hours I spent in total with the two of them...

Rosie has some unique companions in her life. In addition to her monkeys, she has a two headed map turtle named Flora and Fauna that she has befriended. She has presented her at summer circus shows a few years, but winters are quiet times at home.

I made this a few years ago and sealed it with Modge Podge, but it has gotten sticky. Good thing I stored it in a tiny bag so it did not ruin anything else. This is one of my more unique doll crafts.

La semana pasada vinieron mi madre y mi hermana de visita. Como mi hermana se cortó el pelo por primera vez en... no sé ni cuantos años (lo tenía por la mitad de la espalda o mas largo), decidí hacerle una sesión de fotos con la cámara de /naeros.
Qué guapa es la cabrona de ella xD Esta foto me gusta especialmente porque me esperé a que dejara de posar para que saliera to natural ella. No había forma de hacerla sonreír, así que mi madre y yo nos dedicábamos a decir imbecilidades xD
A ver cuándo vuelvo a pillarla para hacerle más sesiones, que nos lo pasamos muy bien :) Además, ponerme detrás de la cámara es... no sé, liberador xDDD
This was the photo that received the most comments on my photoblog last year and one of my most favorites. I even made a poster out of it. It was taken at the Terminal 1, Pearson Intl. airport in Toronto.
It is a huge water tank with plastic cubes floating inside. very few of them are red and black, all the other ones are white. I am still searching for the meaning of this "art project". :-)
But for now, I think it fits the theme "The heart of flickr" perfectly. Not only it is my most favorited picture posted on flickr, but the colors and the red cube is almost like an explosion of flickr's logo. Not that I would want it explode or anything, but after looking at this shot for almost 2 years, it finally made sense. Can you see it too?

the day was 18th may1980 and the event was the northwich shed open day
unknown to almost everyone present class 5 4-6-0 5000 had been added as pilot engine to the afternoon winnington limestone hoppers and came as a surprise as it trundled through the station, I was just able to snatch this quick picture as it passed the defunct central cabin signalbox at the shed entrance

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — Eastman Kodak Co. said Monday that it’s retiring its most senior film because of declining customer demand in an increasingly digital age.
Kodachrome, the world’s first commercially successful color film, was immortalized in song by Paul Simon and spent 74 years in Kodak’s portfolio. It enjoyed its heyday in the 1950s and ’60s but in recent years has nudged closer to obscurity. Sales of Kodachrome are now just a fraction of 1 percent of the company’s total sales of still-picture films, and only one commercial lab in the world still processes it.
Those numbers and the unique materials needed to make it persuaded Kodak to call its most recent manufacturing run the last, said Mary Jane Hellyar, outgoing president of Kodak’s Film, Photofinishing and Entertainment Group.
“Kodachrome is particularly difficult (to retire) because it really has become kind of an icon,” Hellyar said.
