*[So, it was a unique situation here; the ship was moving along
fairly briskly and effortlessly. The sun was slowly and slightly
moving upward. The sea was staying pretty much the same,
but the cloudscapes and blocks of clouds were continually
'changing' from minute to minute with the constant cruise-ship
movement. It was like an everchanging sunrise movie...LOL
I had no problem with it! Showed me a different and unique
cloudscape scene...from minute to minute. Thanks for looking.]

on my new camera that I bought a week before this trip. I am
quite happy with the results. It seems to do well near and far.]

Petra is, of course, known for its spectacular landscape and unusually well-preserved architecture of an ancient Nabataean city (that has yet to be completely excavated). I must have taken hundreds of shots of Ad Deir, al-Khazneh, and al-Siq, some of which I'll share later.
Maybe it's just me that didn't know this before going there, but Petra also has a ton of beautiful crevices that serve as stages for unique portrait shots (as hopefully illustrated here).
My personal suggestion if anyone visits (after COVID, of course) is not to visit Jordan - and especially Petra - as part of a large tour. Arrange for a private tour around the country, and reserve at least one day's worth of free time to explore around Petra. I really hope that I can be back to discover more in the near future.

There are not that many green flowers to be found!
Leaves aplenty, but not blooms.

Moluccella is a genus of annual and short-lived perennial plants native to Central + southwestern Asia and the Mediterranean.
They are tall, upright, branched plants to 1 meter or more with toothed leaves and small white fragrant flowers.
Whether Moluccella is actually a flower or variety of foliage is often open to debate.
In fact, Moluccellais a member of the mint family and has a unique perfume all of its own.
Bells of Ireland, a hardy annual with flowers that never fail to impress, blooms which are the most exquisite shade of lime green.
Since Victorian times, Bells of Ireland have been considered a symbol of good luck - the perfect flower to send to someone starting a new job, or moving to a new home.

Bred by Hilverda kooij in Holland, and winner of countless awards is a stylish Dianthus barbatus called Green Trick ‘Temarisou’
First, this is not a true carnation at all (Dianthus caryophyllus) which I thought it was judging by the leaves and stems but rather, it is a Dianthus barbatus cultivar, or Sweet William.
But a Sweet William that looks more like a ball of moss?
As far a cut flower trends go, this amazing new variety is a terrific example of how plant breeders are focusing on new lifestyle flowers that meet the needs of today's new consumer.
Short, modern containers with dense mounds of spiky green is exactly what stylists and hip florists are looking for.
There IS a trend in EVERYTHING!

Unique Network Southeast liveried class 86 86401 stands at Euston in 1989 awaiting departure. The loco was named "Northampton Town" during this year and was meant to work the Northampton Cobbler trains but apparently very rarely did!

I have posted before more than once a Gazania flower with a single petal changed in color, but what I found today is unique. While watering my garden I noticed this Gazania “divided” to two. I’ve never seen the likes of it!

I believe 4151 was the only U34CH to wear this version of NJT's dark blue and silver scheme. This was because it had previously been repainted by Conrail into a bicentennial paint scheme. It was also the "class" U34CH on both EL and NJT's roster. I believe this may be my only photo of 4151...scanned from a grainy color negative. It is what it is! It was caught shoving a midday eastbound train across the Saddle River in Garfield, NJ on the Bergen County Line.

I can wave bye-bye with my middle toe without moving its neighboring toes. A fine talent, to be sure, but wouldn’t it be awesome to be able to extend that digit while keeping the others curled up tight? That way, one could give people “the toe” at the same time as giving them “the finger”!!

Cloud Gate is a public sculpture by Indian-born British artist Sir Anish Kapoor, that is the centerpiece of AT&T Plaza at Millennium Park in the Loop community area of Chicago, Illinois. The sculpture and AT&T Plaza are located on top of Park Grill, between the Chase Promenade and McCormick Tribune Plaza & Ice Rink. Constructed between 2004 and 2006, the sculpture is nicknamed The Bean because of its shape. Made up of 168 stainless steel plates welded together, its highly polished exterior has no visible seams. It measures 33 by 66 by 42 feet (10 by 20 by 13 m), and weighs 110 short tons (100 t; 98 long tons).
Kapoor's design was inspired by liquid mercury and the sculpture's surface reflects and distorts the city's skyline. Visitors are able to walk around and under Cloud Gate's 12-foot (3.7 m) high arch. On the underside is the "omphalos" (Greek for "navel"), a concave chamber that warps and multiplies reflections. The sculpture builds upon many of Kapoor's artistic themes, and it is popular with tourists as a photo-taking opportunity for its unique reflective properties.

This is a fascinating design for a restaurant and bar. The placement of the wood in the ceiling gives an interesting visual display. The theme of wood is continued in the rest of the room. The lighting setup is such that the main counter is the focal point and the periphery is less of the focal point. This gives it a more calm and relaxing feel.
