Comment: I'm pretty sure I was wearing the tanktop under that, yeah. Not that a defense is required, but: it was humid in Locarno. That light-grey polo will betray a sweaty torso without any remorse--a damp stain is almost instant. An undershirt is necessary, and a tanktop is better than an undershirt. Van's objections lie primarily with the size of the straps, which I believe is also known as uselessly splitting hairs.

Masonic barong Tagalog.

The barong Tagalog (or simply barong, from the word baro) is an embroidered formal garment of the Philippines. It is very lightweight and worn untucked (similar to a coat/dress shirt), over an undershirt. It is a common wedding and formal attire for Filipino men as well as women. The term "barong Tagalog" literally means "a dress that is Tagalog", or "a Tagalog dress" (i.e., "baro na Tagalog", with "barong" being a contraction of "baro na") in the Filipino language.

The barong was popularised as formal wear by Philippine President Ramon Magsaysay, who wore it to most official and personal affairs, including his inauguration as president.

This is the first of 13 photos taken on Monday, 28 August 2023, which together comprise a photo session I've titled "A Casual Early Monday Afternoon". These photos were taken prior to my Monday evening bodybuilding workout, so I'm seen wearing my white Pro Combat exercise tights, white sheer nylon athletic undershirt, white sheer nylon socks, and white athletic shoes. I chose not to wear a thong under my tights, because the tights allow a thong to be fairly discernible through the white fabric.

I have the same Brainkiller shirt....kind of. I bought the same one in small. However, I'm a medium, who occasionally wears large. So what I did was, I cut out the design and sewed it into a medium undershirt with dental floss.

Jim, Aaron and I are probably the bluest of the blues at work. What? What does that even mean? Why is my undershirt untucked.... what a freakin' bum i am. Nyerd Patrol 07.

I don't know what significance this picture has, but apparently Uncle Sam is being squeezed by John Bull of Great Britain and the derogatory personification of Ireland, Paddy. And he's having to take care of the African American child between his boots? Is it all about free trade and the legacy of racism? I dunno.

We had a family friend who was 100% Irish on both sides of her family and hugely proud of this fact. I once made the mistake of getting back from a trip to Boston in the mid 1980s and making some remark about all of the 'Fat irish guys in undershirts sitting on their front stoops.' She was HUGELY angry at me. I said I would never say anything to insult or offend her and I didn't say it on purpose. She said, quite bitterly 'I think you did. I think you said it on purpose.' It was the only time we ever had words, and I never understood her reaction--was she the defender or the embodiment of everyone everywhere of Irish descent?

For the record, I love the Irish and I love Ireland. I would LOVE to visit Ireland. I like all different sorts of people. (Just don't sit on your front stoop in your undershirt.)

She just died of cancer at age 58. She'd had a very complicated medical history and it was incredibly sad.

You can see all the daffodils in bloom in the garden area directly below our big picture window. Those blooming flowers in the foreground, in the brick-outlined elevated garden we call "The Island", are primrose in 4 colors: Red, wwhite, yellow, and deep purple. (Yesterday afternoon I was busy cleaning up The Island of a lot of dried top growth from last year, thus exposing the now lush green foliage that has sprouted from the base of the many yet-to-flower Dianthus plants.
