...and they're all lapdogs, and they're all white and tan. Every last one of them. They all walk the streets with such purpose and sass. They have no idea how tiny they really are.

Case was actually our first rescue on this trip. He is some sort of terrier mix. He took a lilttle time to rescue....growling, trying to bite, etc. When I was finally able to pet him, it all stopped. I ended up having to carry him into the car because he was so scared he wouldnt walk and i ended up with quite a mess because his body let excretions out, from fear, all over me. (not the first or the last time i am sure). He charmed me with his eyes and that screwy little underbite. He is unique. We got him three or four days ago and yesterday morning when i walked up to his cage...he wagged his tail. Our first one!! Now when he sees me he really wags his tail and i get kisses on my hands and my first ones on my face today. I cant keep him (yall know my babies) but am hoping to bring him back and find a loving foster home for him. Something about this one (just like Ralphie and Dixon(who's pictures arent up yet)....So meet Case
She's almost four years old now, but every now and then she pulls this "puppy eyes" routine... and gets away with whatever she wants.
Who can resist those eyes and that underbite??
Ruben's name is now Jake. I fostered "The Sandwich Litter" back in April. At the time they looked like little Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier puppies, most with adorable underbites. A little less than a year later and Jake is back with BARK. Upon seeing him now, we believe Jake is definitely part Whippet and the other mystery parts bestowed him with a head that looks like a Boston Terrier. Jake is pretty tall, yet just shy of 35 pounds. He is super smart, having mastered several commands and is completely house trained and relatively silent.

Mike and Peter whiteboard their app, which is aimed at empowering people to share lunch costs among friends over time. Have you ever thought that splitting lunch was a pain? Their app will help.
Also, notice the programmer's underbite. :)

"shih tzuThe Shih Tzu is small dog with a short muzzle and large dark eyes. With a soft and long double coat" "it stands no more than 26.7 cm (101⁄2 in.) at the withers and with an ideal weight of 4.5 to 7.3 kg (10 to 16 lbs). Drop ears are covered with long fur" "and the heavily furred tail is carried curled over the back. The coat may be of any colour" "though a blaze of white on the forehead and tip of the tail is frequently seen. The Shih Tzu is slightly longer than tall" "and dogs ideally should carry themselves with distinctly arrogant carriage. A very noticeable feature is the underbite" "which is required in the breed standard.Shih Tzu were officially recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1969."
Hey, it's the mom of our sandwich puppies, Club, Grinder, BLT, Monte Cristo and Ruben. She's got the same cute underbite as her daughter Club.
Skimmers are definately one of my favorite birds, talk about an underbite! These birds were shot on Fernandina beach Fla.
Two years ago I lost my 14 year old Toy Poodle Princess to cancer. Due to her numerous tumors and their rapid growth we had to put her to sleep. My mother promised herself that she would never get another dog due to the heartache of having to let them go. Luckily, never did not last so long. The following year in May my family got some news that my older brother's friend had found a Shih Tzu roaming the neighborhood. He was covered in fleas and ticks, dehydrated, and craving for food. After a week of the friend pampering the sweet boy, and having no one come forward to claim him despite the many posters and veterinary clinic visits, he decided to give my family a call. Within an hour the Shih Tzu puppy was at my house. To be honest, he was not much to look at with his odd limp, mild underbite, and large eyes. But soon enough Daniel stole my heart along with my mothers. It has now been two years and the veterinarian estimates that Daniel is about three years old. He is a sweet, toy loving, treat stealing, attention grabbing, spoiled rotten baby. Do not get me wrong, I still love Princess. Growing up she was my best friend and she will always have a place in my heart. But for now Daniel is my best friend for life. And even though I missed out on his first year on this earth, I will be sure to make up for it for the rest of his doggy years.
She looks a little alien-like in this one. I think because her ears are back. She's got over-active tear ducts which makes jer look like she's been crying. Then there is that tongue! She had a underbite so her jaws do not align properly, and her tongue slips out.
This handsome guy with the adorable underbite is HAROLD, an approximately one year old Carolina Dog/Cattle Dog mix. He’s a friendly, playful young dog who’s a little unsure of himself, but he loves to chase a ball and play with his toys, and focuses very nicely when food treats are on offer :-) He likes other dogs. Harold is looking for a loving, committed home where he’ll have good guidance and a consistent routine.
Harold lives in Kennel 33.
