Ruben's name is now Jake. I fostered "The Sandwich Litter" back in April. At the time they looked like little Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier puppies, most with adorable underbites. A little less than a year later and Jake is back with BARK. Upon seeing him now, we believe Jake is definitely part Whippet and the other mystery parts bestowed him with a head that looks like a Boston Terrier. Jake is pretty tall, yet just shy of 35 pounds. He is super smart, having mastered several commands and is completely house trained and relatively silent.
This is Heather's new boy, Senna. He's hanging out at our house until after the weekend. Poor little guy is HW+. He's really skinny. Only weighs about 43 lbs. :( He's got really long legs. His ears are CUTE CUTE CUTE, and his underbite is even cuter....if that's possible. lol He doesn't really like to be left alone and was whining and barking behind the baby gate yesterday, but we're working on that. The HW's are making him cough and wheeze occasionally. But for the most part he's doing good. Poor boy just walks around looking totally confused. :( He's met all my boxers and did great with them. :) Oh yeah, and he loves to give kisses.

Oh well! At least I got a picture of her! She is totally thrilled as well with the news of Teddy offically being her new little brother, they play, and play all day together, i am so glad these two are best friends, we are going on a trip tomorrow ( just a day trip across the border) so i am getting all there stuff packed up and ready to go!
This handsome guy with the adorable underbite is HAROLD, an approximately one year old Carolina Dog/Cattle Dog mix. He’s a friendly, playful young dog who’s a little unsure of himself, but he loves to chase a ball and play with his toys, and focuses very nicely when food treats are on offer :-) He likes other dogs. Harold is looking for a loving, committed home where he’ll have good guidance and a consistent routine.

No idea how Fanta got her name, but this little thing is C*U*T*E. She loves to army crawl right into your lap and she's only about 35 lbs, so she actually is a good lap dog! She has almost a pug/sharpei/pit bull terrier look to her, a true Heinz 57, with a darling little underbite and sweet personality to match her cute outer looks. She appears to really LOVE other dogs. She wanted so badly to play with the dogs in the yard next to her at the shelter. Take home this sweet little red dog today, she won't disappoint you.

On another note;
I've been without my camera AND my favorite lens for two weeks soon. Turned out there was something wrong with the focusing of the camera. And my 50 1,4 has ALSO a broken focus ring, I've barely even used it. They're both getting fixed though so I'm really excited about getting them back. I've known something was wrong but I couldn't imagine both of them being broken. Bad luck, huh?

She looks a little alien-like in this one. I think because her ears are back. She's got over-active tear ducts which makes jer look like she's been crying. Then there is that tongue! She had a underbite so her jaws do not align properly, and her tongue slips out.
Fella had a busy weekend this weekend. He went on the bus to Glastonbury where he: ate leftovers, watched the world cup, scared the cat, chased after sticks, chewed plastic toys, barked, fell in the ditch (three times), ate spiders, sniffed flowers, drank pond water, went to the pub, ran around the Bishop of Wells' Palace Gardens, ate chips off the floor, got sunstroke and had a bath. (I will not become a serial poster of dog pictures...)

(This is Angel, a very sweet, loving dog who has had a tough life until she came to her current foster home. Someone hit her in the face with a baseball bat and broke her lower jaw. She now has a severe underbite and has issues with excessive drooling now. Amazing that she still has love and trust in her heart for any human.)
I took Margaret, our Walker Hound, to the Animal Compassion Network's adoption day at our local PetSmart today. ACN is a larger organization that teams up with smaller rescues to help bring more traffic to homeless pets.
I was lucky enough to be able to capture some photos of the dogs who need homes for ACN to use in publications and on their Petfinder.com site.
Such wonderful dogs - I never understand how they find themselves homeless.
