Cut away many sets of squash bug eggs today. Plant is setting fruit.

Turns out that eggplant makes a great trap crop for flea beetles.

Some of the lower leaves on some of the tomatoes are looking unhealthy. These are in the butterfly beds, but I've also seen same pattern on the Principe Borghese in the Orchard.

Disease unidentified. Pulled two plants today, many fruit were set. Bummer.

Hopefully she will bounce back next season. I am trying to decide if I should cut back all the foliage or leave what is left to continue collecting sun energy.

 

Day Eighty: March 2nd, 2007.

 

I waited until after midnight to get all dressed up and go out in the blizzard when the streets, backyard and alley were all empty and I could shoot as I pleased.

 

This is in my backyard and it looks like I'm under attack by the snow. Well, I am!

 

And yes, I'm listening to my iPod.
