I'm 1 day late again on posting my week's shot. It seems like it's getting harder and harder to come up with ideas. Fortunately, I have only 3 weeks left. I wonder what it'll be like when I'm done.
The many bullet holes on the hood of the unfortunate Iltis LUV displayed in the Canada War Museum. For further notes, please refer to previous captions.(Ottawa, Canada, June 2015)
This Iltis LUV (Light Utility Vehicle) had apparently come under attack from the Serbian military and despite severe bullet wounds, both riders managed to escape. The previous picture gave details of their ordeal. Though the bullet holes do not show much from this angle, barring a few on the front windshield, the number of bullet holes on this car was alarmingly high. (Ottawa, Canada, June 2015)

Day 39/366 - Patterns was the prompt for today. This under attack test pattern is an homage to the return of "The Walking Dead" this weekend!

Soldiers from the 4th Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT), 2nd Infantry Division evacuate casualties June 26 during Decisive Action Rotation 14-08 at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, California. When Operation Enduring Freedom began in 2001, the SBCT was only a vision. With the support of the Army Acquisition Corps, that vision became a lifesaving reality remarkably quickly. I was living next to this abandoned house in Hackney, London - "Elisabeth Fry House".
Early one sunday morning these boys were fooling in the back garden, on the old red sofa and rocking horse. I started speaking to them over the fence and moments later had jumped the fence to chat and take pics of the house.
They were a little stoned or drunk and soon enough became the perfect models once the camera was pointed at them, all the poses were spontaneous without any coaching from me!
The driver's cab of the Iltis LUV in the Canada War Museum. Note bullet holes on the front windshield. Caught by intense fire from the Serbian military, both occupants of the car managed to escape with their lives, despite suffering severe injuries. For further notes, please see pictures immediately preceding this one. (Ottawa, Canada, June 2015)
Once upon a time, this was an urban jungle, with trees and plants growing everywhere. A kind of informal habitat for what/whoever would grow on a huge rock that was formed by a glacial deposit millions of years ago...
Some homeless people set up camp there from time to time. Years ago, youth from the neighborhood did graffiti on a few of the rocks. We all enjoyed walking by and enjoying the greenery in Spring and Summer, or the architecture of the bare trees and the stark beauty of the pre-historic rocks in Fall and Winter.
............................................................................................................................................................
The area had been fenced off for a couple of years and recently all the greenery had been removed. Then, on Halloween, I spoke to some workers nearby, who informed me that a building was going to be built, replacing this natural wonder...
Attacking the rocks with this giant monster, an earth-raper, actually, is painful to look at.
I'm disgusted, revolted and angered by the greed of whoever is responsible for this massacre!!!

Co-workers put together a 3D puzzle of the Empire State Building and left it in the lunch room. I did what was necessary to finish their project. And would you believe, everyone just assumed I did it. Hmmmphf.
