Sep 27/11 loved this guy's Les Paul uke! he just bought it that day! this was my first street shoot of perfect strangers. Thank you to www dot mortalmuses dot com for featuring this photo in the blogpost entitled promise on March 23, 2012. Once again, very flattered and honoured to have one of my photos featured on this amazing photog blog compiled by 9 female photographers across Europe and the U.S. It's wonderful. Apparently I am not allowed to link to this blog in flickr for some reason so hopefully you can find the blog post by digging for the date it was posted. And do check out all their posts - it's an amazing blog!

All wood in this uke was cut from a single Douglas Fir 2x4.

This is my first shot using the Polaroid Big Shot camera.

According to Wikipedia the camera was manufactured from 1971 to 1973.

The Land List On-Line reports "This camera was a particular favorite of artist Andy Warhol, and he apparently painted many of his portraits based on pictures he took of the subjects with a Big Shot camera. According to at least one report, Warhol liked this camera so much that he bought out Polaroid's remaining stock of Big Shot cameras when he learned that Polaroid was discontinuing"

Really nice to walk past Sophie's room today and hear her playing 'When The Saints Go Marching In' on her ukelele and without any prompting too.

Pressie from the family.

A solid lacewood Kala travel ukulele, showings its suitability for travel. But not really convincing in terms of ability to operate a scooter.

A German friend sent this recently. Intriigued by the backwards writing - realise it must be the negative being printed the wrong way round.
