a regular pub meet and a lot of fun (though everyone always looks miserable in photos!)

The local uke dealer

So, a local guitar shop asked if I would make some straps fort them to carry in their shop. I am taking my ukulele straps over to them today but I am at a loss on how to price them.

Day 17

Look what I got in the mail yesterday! A wonderful calendar full of Uke shots by our dear Flickr friend Matt. I can almost see the wellies splashing through the gelt! Thanks Matt! I'll hang this with pride in my studio.

If you don't follow Matt, check out his work on Flickr (Edenmatt) or follow his Uke biz on Facebook (The League of Ukulele Gentlemen) or his fantastic magazine, UKE Magazine.

And more importantly, this saved me from getting out my winter socks for a wonderful tribute to wool image.

Getting back into photo. Took a LONG break, nearly a year of not being interested really. I know this isn't that original but I was purely having fun with it again yesterday. Lets start this journey again back to where I use to be. :]

If you could through a favorite and a comment my way that'd be great!

I bought my first ukulele yesterday. It is a Kala Concert size (KA-C), a good choice for beginners. These instruments are from the Denver Folklore Center's booth at the 3rd annual UkeFest.

I bought 5 picks in Hawaii and they all look good on my uke

We moved Emma back for her second year of college this morning. While not nearly as traumatic as last year it still feels strange. It was such a great summer hanging out as a family. She came home last May and it was like she never left. It will be strange to adjust again but thank goodness for e-mail, cellphones, and Skype!

Here's Emma playing her uke on the patio a couple Sundays ago...

good things come in small packages, or so they say, if so does that make me a Big Bad Girl then?

still can't get my head around playing the ukulele, so fiddly and the tuning on the 4th string frazzles my tiny brain

After not having an Aylesbury Uke Jam since way before Chritmas, it was nice to see everybody again and it was a fairly lively session
