While in Oahu I bought a little ukulele at a place in the Aloha Tower mall. After four days of playing it I decided I wanted needed another one (Sacha suggested I give the small one to Wilson and Elliot, who had a toy uke but it's busted). There is a music shop in Kalaheo near where we stayed in Kauai called Scotty's that was having a sale on ukuleles. I looked at a few, helped along buy a guy named Rocky who didn't treat me lik a crazy tourist, and settled on this blue concert-sized Kala. Elliot strummed the little standard-sized uke yesterday and is ready to learn some chords. Maybe the next trip to Hawaii can be a club-circuit tour and a write-off.

The Ukulele Club of Santa Cruz strut their stuff in the July Fourth World's Smallest Parade in Aptos.
They were playing (and singing) our un-offical town song, "Under the Boardwalk".
