This photograph had almost no paper backing left. It had apparently been worn or eaten away, leaving only the photo emulsion. This is a reconstruction.
I almost missed this one. It looked like a bit of yellow cellophane in the pile of photographs.

This shot was taken in 2005, but it is the same tiger that appears on the cover of the September 2007 Popular Photography
Self portrait influenced by a similar portrait of Harry Houdini. Loads of great versions of this can be found on the internet.
Right lesson two with the lights is to shoot some smoke. Here's the results with a little help from Mr Adobe!!!
Hopefully a "money shot" for a contract shoot for Illumivision (their light illuminates the large vertical curve). You can also find their LED lighting on 1010 Peachtree www.flickr.com/photos/wizum/3118725197
Strips of handmade felt with machine stitching.
It's amazing how much firmer felt becomes after sewing onto it.
I took this photo of Running Eagle Falls in the autumn of 1958. It is located near the Two Medicine Campground in the southeast corner of Glacier National Park. The Blackfeet Indians consider the Two Medicine region to be sacred ground. The falls are named after a female Blackfeet warrior.
The falls are often called Trick Falls because, at times, it is actually two falls in one. During wet seasons water rushes over the cliff face above the hole in cliff face from which water is seen flowing in the photograph. At such times the lower falls are obscured. By late summer, during the dry season, water may cease to flow over the upper falls whereas water continues to flow through the hole in the cliff face.

Two journeys a day Monday - Friday now run the old route of the 437, previously run by Countryliner, going via Maybury Inn instead of Maybury Estate.
Today, it all went well and the Arriva driver went the correct way.
The photos offers a contrast between the one I took back in August 2010, when Countryliner were running the "old" 437 from Woking to Addlestone.
The two bridges across the Kiel-Canal at Holtenau.
Hints and fair comments are always appreciated.

This long forgotten family resting place is hidden in the forest away from the eyes of anyone who might pass by. The tombstone in the forefront is dated from April of 1845. There is what appears to be a smaller, child sized tombstone at the far corner.
But all references I can find have listed only two graves here.

September 11th. Sunday. 10 years after September 11th attacks.
This is my awkward homecoming picture.... Yeah. I like my dress.
Anyway. It's been 10 years since the attacks. I am so interested in
it and our teachers won't let us talk about it. Makes me so, so mad.
But here's to the heroes, here's to the victims, and here's to every
one affected. I wish I could remember something from that day.
But I can't. I was only 5 years old and I can't remember a thing.
