Update: Looks like people want to know what a DMC-FH20 can do. After having mine since August, I can say it's great for outdoors, fine for casual dim-to-well-lit indoors, and kind of meh for performance shots (I had high hopes that its high ISO would get great shots of bands on stage, but I was wrong --> www.flickr.com/photos/bmj/sets/72157624956018743/ ). See my New Orleans shots uploaded in early October for what it can do -- but the shots in the Ponderosa Stomp night two set were taken by my old DMC-FZ20. --> www.flickr.com/photos/bmj/sets/72157624963026289/

I had some luck with the other glass panels I made and have sold them all. I miss them hanging in my house so am working on morw. Two new almost done red and gold circle panels. Another big blue one is next.

Two more recent catches which I will keep brief as they were just that!

Of note, Nematopogon swammerdamella was on the side of the trap come Monday morning, not a common moth in my garden and my only encounter previously was in the daytime in 2015.

Along with 3 other new for year species, Flame Shoulder, Brimstone Moth, Mompha subbistrigella and Agonopterix arenella (last seen in 2014!)

Birthday Outing

I took Stu out for lunch. He had two Young Coconuts. They are filled with delicious sweet coconut milk and white meat, very very good. These coconuts aren't hard inside, just the opposite, the meat can be spooned out.

Two chicks remain, a couple of weeks ago Chick 2 fell off the nest into the water and drown. :( Purportedly, someone claims to have seen it. I wish I had been there. I would have made an effort to rescue chick 2. RIP #2.

Chick 1 and Chick 3 - are busy growing and becoming teenagers. Both are trying to fish and both exhibit that teenage behavior when they don't get their fish from the paretns right away. Last year Jr. Osprey did it and these two - like other Osprey chicks before them... buzz the parents in the trees when they aren't getting their way. haha..

I think I built this model for GT Calgary or Vancouver anyway in the early 2000s. It is a popular model but I don't use it htat much, it has a couple of campaign badges.

"You lie through your teeth. You won't let me down, you lie, I deserve better than this," Silverstein. I hate homework. I hate working with a passion, especially math. AP Chemistry = Math, and I do not understand any of this new homework we were given, ugh. Probably my fault, I should have payed more attention in class, but I did thank good notes. :/ Hmmm ahh well. We'll see how it goes tomorrow, thank goodness there is no quiz this week, nor is there a test!
