I love Easter! What with all the chocolate, and bunnies, and egg dying, and no work, and dresses, and religious significance, and so on and so forth, it won it's place as favorite holiday in my heart! So to ring it is, here is my newest girl! The beautiful Tokidoki Luna, whom I named Gretta! I love her to bits!

Today I taxed another Volvo to replace the 25 year old Wentworth, which had become unreliable.
Hopefully this one will serve me as well as the last !
Manatees coming up for air at Fort Myers, Florida. They were enjoying the warm water coming from the power plant on a cold day. For such large animals, they took very brief breaths and went back under quickly. Just the nostrils came above water.
The story behind this is heartbreaking. In his younger days, Ng Eng Teng was in love with someone, but he couldn't be with them due to "family reasons". He enshrined his love for this person in the form of two heart-shaped ponds in his garden, separated by brick and cement, but joined by an unseen pipe so the water flows from one pond to another. A sculpture of a single tear on a heart shaped stone next to the pond attests to this unspoken love, and how it always weighed on his heart.
The sketchcrawl group in Davis met at the California Raptor Center. Many birds to sketch and people too. For us, the birdman took out an eagle. He explained that many of the birds were injured, some might recovered and let go but others who are more injured would stay for their lifetime.

Tandem bike rentals are popular in Visby, Gotland. It's a good way to see the city and some of the surrounding area.
