Pearl Harbor Day 2009 commemoration held at National World War Two Memorial in Washington, D.C., December 7, 2009. (VA photo by Robert Turtil)
This is the story of two blades, spears crafted by the hand of the Emperor Himself in the days long before the birth of the Imperium. Linked, equal but opposite, these blades are destined to be wielded by two of the greatest heroes of the Age of Darkness. And as the spears themselves, Appolonian and Dionysian, are equal and opposite, so too are those to whom they were gifted. This is their story too. The warrior-scholar, a savant and a servant. The warrior-king, a savage and a soldier. Their fates entwined in ways they do not understand, they carry the blades as both gift and curse, fulfilment of destiny unseen by any save the Master of Mankind.
August 11th. Thursday. Beachwood intervals.
This is basically the same as yesterday's photo.
But I slept for 3 hours and then I didn't feel like doing anything elaborate.
I'm tired. I just need to sleep for a few days, recharge. But that is not possible.
I'm going down to Cincinatti Saturday to visit my older sister. Kings Island on Sunday.
I don't know if I should bring my camera or not. I think I will. I'm really excited, though.
The intervals at practice today. They were so difficult. 1000 meter intervals.
That's apparently the most dreaded practice of the season.
Except it happens more than once. Can't wait...
I haven't listened to another song since WMYB was released yesterday.

Hotel entrance with two empty pots in Seville, Spain. We did not stay at this hotel, but we did have a great tapas meal at the nearby Mamarracha restaurant. However, we were disappointed when we went back on another day and they were not open during the time stipulated at the front entrance. Still, we'd look them up again the next time we're in Seville.
Annie went after every last crumb with her usual gusto. Whereas Billy mustered up all his courage to sniff the bag.
This shot and the one next to it show a pinkish Gliophorus lilacipes in front of a yellow Hygrocybe cerinolutea, photographed a few days apart
Initially taken for ODC's "A Coloured Line", but I think it is more fitting for "Eerie" as it is, after all, two lines. Shot with Sony NEX-5T.
Two people and two seagulls, silhouetted at sunset at Frankston on Christmas day. This is cropped very slightly; otherwise straight out of E-M5.
This shot shows both drops of Double Drop Falls somewhat better than in my other picture of the falls near Phelps, NY.
NO INVITES OR ICONS PLEASE
One of the resident sand hill cranes at Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary, BC. See the mug shot for a nice profile (one-eyed) view of this bird.
Tenuous Link: !!!
I followed him as long as I could but he finally went faster than I could! The young buck was a surprise to me as well!

One image, fiddled with a lot in CS5 and Lightroom 4.
The canal basin at the end of Deansgate in Manchester. I didn't even know it was there until last weekend.
