The Flickr Lounge: Week 39: They come in twos.

Actually Balck Skimmers do not come in twos. They tend to travel in flocks. ( See below.) But I just happened to see a couple of them at the edge of the flock.

This was our reason to visit this beach. We counted 70 of these.

The Two Angels,

No, they are not staying

they just passed by

Without saying hello

Hopefully next time

They would stay longer....

Goodbye for now, angels...

One retro uni was enough for one search, so I didn't take these, but they are kind of cool. The white one was cracked, as those always were even back then. Surprisingly, the fake Plymouth was unbroken, though the metal clips were gone, and even the paint still looked good. It must have come off brand new, like many of those did. I still have some of those that I found back then, so I passed on this one

What is the meaning of 'Shave and a haircut Two Bits'?

It was the cost of a shave and a haircut in a barber shop during the mid-1800s - Two bits. Two bits equals a quarter.

I now know where the expression "silly goose" comes from- these two kept me entertained for quite sometime as they fought over this "prime" spot in a VERY high tree. I hope they are not thinking of nesting up there!!

Look up, then over... Lovely in lightbox, click photo for lovely...
