In the snow. Part of the folklore that surrounds the ciaspolada.

Another pic, I've made at Zoo Karlsruhe.

Grumman TBF Avenger and a Grumman Wildcat

bringing water from below to above. One, self replicating.

The other ceases to duplicate the moment thoughts about it disappear.

What are we to make of the difference between things that manifest without thought, and those that manifest only with thought?

One could answer: "Thought itself is a thoughtless manifestation, i.e., thought grows into existence through no effort of its own."

To put it more clearly, a mind that thinks, grows into existence before it can think.

Would this be right?

I created this image with my wide angle Fujinon XF 10-24 lens, but it minimized the size of this peak a little too much. So I simply cropped it during editing. Two Trees Trail, Riverside, CA

The smaller of two abandoned towers at the former Naval Air Station South Weymouth, south of Boston. I have seen photos shot inside these towers post-abandonment but the doors were welded shut by the time I got there.

On the distant horizon

weird weather at the moment: a thick cloud layer at 1200-1500 meters, leaving almost no sunlight for the valleys. above, bright sunshine changing with a spectacular variety of different cloud formations. Shot taken on the first snowshoe tour this winter, climbing up to Sünser Spitze, 2032 meters high.

The BKRR does an unusual doubleheader as it leaves Eagle Bridge at Old State Road in the pouring rain.

This youngster was hanging around with two adult does. They were curious as I slowly approached......they were in the woods but close to a parking lot. They never did run away, but slowly walked off after a couple of minutes.

A well kept secret in the Sweden - a place with many old horse wagons, cariols and sleighs. Awesome place.
