This belted kingfisher came up with two fishes with one dive. He cleverly managed to swallow the nearest fish while holding the second in the tip of its beak.

At the time she was trying to sell me a newspaper for two cents as part of the show I was watching..
Photo wise this is uncropped. I had a 300mm mounted to shoot the far side of the show anticipating that an acquaintance was going to be performing and that the character she plays tends to spend a far amount of time on the far side of the show. As it turned out a different person appeared as Sal. Here she kind of ended up stepping into the frame so I just went with it. This started in LR5 to control the bright white in the Santa hat and most of the color correction in her skin tones before moving to Photoshop for the detailed dodging.
"We are spectators in the shade here", the bikes told me - "The show is opposite, in the sunny side of the street..."

Quite possibly one of the most unique but equally splendid Tulip varieties has to be the Parrot Tulip, producing giant irregular shaped flowers with petals that resemble feathers of a tropical Parrot.
Flowering from April into May, Parrot Tulips really do produce some of the most beautiful colour shades with an exotic look and feel.
