This belted kingfisher came up with two fishes with one dive. He cleverly managed to swallow the nearest fish while holding the second in the tip of its beak.

I've been very busy the past two weeks, but I missed playing with textures. And since today I received my new Sigma 24-70 2.8, I had to try it out...
I must confess I love doing still life, because you can go crazy with the textures, the possibilities are limitless.

A combined CSX B724 & O033 is seen heading south by Milepost 28 in Marlborough, MA on the Fitchburg Secondary. The train consisted of 3 standard GP40-2's, 7 loaded C&D cars from UMM, 6 empty centerbeams from Bestway, & 11 empty flat cars that were used to bring MOW track cars up to Leominster overnight.

Two close ups of yesterdays bit of weather ... clear skies this afternoon as the wind is blowing like nother else ahead of a slow moving low pressure cell.
Two of the more than one million fans who lined the parade route in downtown Toronto today to celebrate the Raptors victory in the NBA Championship series. Photographed on University Ave at Adelaide Street as the cavalcade finally passed by, several hours behind schedule, slowed to a crawl along the route by eager crowds spilling onto the roadway, blocking the parade vehicles. Processed in PS.

I am no friend of the night. I really really hate staying up all, or even most, of the night for any reason. I sleep early and wake up early. This has been going on since my study for BA (YEARS ago)
It is 3.30 am now. I can't sleep. I don't know why. By the way, I drink decaffeinated coffee and I drink my last cup of tea by 4pm.
I have never posted a photo in such a time.
Khalid, my son, has a kind of a party in his kindergarten tomorrow. He will never forgive me if I oversleep,
Pray for me to be able to sleep.
