Not a good picture, but interesting.
I noticed a huge bee fliying and being weighted down. It landed in an awkward place for a photo so the picture is not good . There is a different species of bee clinging on to it.
Odd thought I so I looked it up on the internet.
The large bee is Bombus ruderatis The smaller is possibly a Wool Carder Bee Anthidium manicatum . The males have spines and are known to crush other insects to death. I think in this case the spines are stuck in the large bee and the outcome will not be good for either of them. I have never seen this before.

It's almost three decades since I took this picture in 1990 of our two cats Nap and Tab. Back then, I used to use my 6X9cm Bessa a lot more than I do today, and I took this picture with Ilford FP4 film, a lovely creamy film. Perhaps it's time to dig out the Bessa again.
It's too late for those cats; they are both long gone.

Just for comparison and also because I think they look nice together. Most of the time they'll run as a lashup.
The two main routes operated at present are the 41 and 56. The new buses add a welcome splash of colour to the local scene in Lanarkshire, where recent take-overs have seen many familiar liveries disappear. Congratulations to JMB Travel on this fine achievement.
These were the two pieces that I brought up from my hike from the bottom just so I can photograph them. The smaller piece that is sitting on the petrified wood was so shiny.

Great day out again with the Kingfishers, accompanied by Paul Townson. We had 2.5 hours of frantic activity. This bird was less than 6 feet from us (image not cropped) - almost too close to focus with the Tamron 150-600! Didn't realise until I downloaded the image that it had caught two fish!

This is the view looking south, taking from the roof terrace at work. The bar spoils the view, but you can just catch sight of the sea and Isle of Wight in the distance!!
