Added a sidebar menu and some tweaks here and there. Hope to code this up somewhere during this weekend.

Pic of the oldest green cheek baby.
He's 33 Days Old today and he wanted to show off his pretty face feathers!
He loves to be held and likes to nibble at fingers. The babies have started grooming themselves and their siblings. They can walk really really well now, too. They grip real well with their claws. (As you can see in this picture)
Looks like he is giving us all a smile!

Well, I've decided I'm going to do it! I'm starting one of those 365 projects.
This should be interesting...

Here the required vinyl tiles are set around the needed areas and the countertop has been cut (13 & 1/2" was cut off for a little "island" between the stove and fridge - those photos coming soon. The remainder of the countertop was temporarily positioned for final measurements. Lookin' good!
Both newel posts are being dadoed to accept 3/4" 11-ply maple laminate board to support the depth of the countertop in three places. (A 2x4" runs along the back of the countertop affixed to the wall.) The maple is also being used for the facing woodwork, in separate dadoes. No screws or nails will be visible. The bottom will continue the 4" x 3" dishwasher kick area with the newel posts dadoed to 4" x 2" (to retain some meat there.)
The countertop ends are to be mitered and the left end is housing three shelves for wicker baskets, while the right end is housing shelves for cook-books and whatnot. The area directly under the sink is just going to be open even though she originally wanted shelves there (there simply isn't room with the disposal.) This design will not use any doors - wait for further pictures! :-)

Thanksgiving turkey ;-)
She knows I tease her, but after all, she learned how to be a turkey from me.
Everything else, she has taught me,
especially the real meaning of
unconditional love.
So very thankful for this beautiful child. Happy Thanksgiving, baby!

More tweaks. Playing with colour, also added content. Not too happy about the graphic/photo/graphic. I think I'll have to have 3 photos. Perhaps one will have to be me writing on a whiteboard for "Work", and I'll have to come up with something for "Blog" in the third position.

I had a photo that was focused wrong - the foreground was soft and the background was sharp. SO I played around with saturation and contrast in Aviary until I got something I liked.
A close-up of a dried horned melon , this being one of the shriveled "horns", tweaked and transmuted by Photoshop...
Went up to JLC with some friends today and got some really cool shots of Jake, he's a dirt dog! Uploaded my 3 favourites.
