Aproveitem!!!

(large on white)

My last seagull pic prompted a few questions about textures and which ones I'm using, so I thought I'd post another shot of my "kitchen."

You can see that I'm actually using three textures, and two to three layers of each, which I've blended in and out using masks and various overlay modes.

The post processing on this one got pretty extensive - about 24 layers (including 8 texture layers, 3 high-pass layers, and 9 adjustment layers). Fun!! :)

Cut between the two cylinders, until you reach the marble.

Work the transition a bit more, and the roundness of the rest too.

Starting to learn how to use photoshop. First real effort from watching youtube tutorials.

So I´ve entered the world of tutorials. I knew it was hard and a lot of work, but this hard!!

I´ve been teaching classes in Stockholm a couple of years but that is different. For the students there I can show with my hands. But only explaining in words...

I admire every artisan making tutorials even more now.

:)

( Continue along until you have all your pieces sewn on. )

Now we're left with a gap between piece one and piece 15. ( there's probably a correct way to not end up with this gap but it's my first paper-pieced pattern so if anyone has any tips, please let me know! )

We're going to tear away the paper at this point - you'll be glad you used tiny stitches! Be careful not to pull too tightly. If you used freezer paper it should just tear right out.

(This tutorial was greatly inspired by Sandra's tutorial posted here and on her lovely blog bonequea.com. Go check it out, if you haven't already seen it : )!)

Taking this tutorial for a ride. I did make a couple of changes. I used "color dodge" instead of "overlay" and erased at varying opacity levels.

I'm doing another workshop in a months time, so I'm going to put more of my tutorials and lessons online as I get closer to the date. This one is specifically related to tonal recovery in Adobe Lightroom 4.

www.frontallobbings.com/2013/05/lightroom-tutorial-tonal-...

next take a little more of the softened clay and working in the direction you will be scraping (ie if for example you are recreating hair you would want to scrape following the lines of the hair.) begin to scrape the clay over the surface of the bangle...kinda like buttering bread

(here i have spread the clay over the lower part of the design)

For the interested who did not see the first five pictures of this serie:

This is my first visual tutorial about consciousness and awareness.

It is very easy because the pictures will speak for themselves.

Without words you will understand, what it all means.

Maybe you discover something very important for yourself... :-)))

If you like, ask yourself what you see and how you see.

This ist he last picture of the serie.

This picture shows you seeing the picture
