Start off with a pale face! I use Lush's Colour Supplement in 'Light Pink' mixed with a moisturiser and Dainty Doll concealer with a dust of Too Faced's translucent pressed powder as a base. Prime your eyes with something like Too Faced Shadow Insurance or Urban Decay's Primer Potion.

I made a knob following someone else's tutorial online. The only part I didn't know how to do before was the grade on the knob itself, its all layer effects basically. Sometimes its good to get back to the basics.
