Attesissimi e adorati dal pubblico italiano, i The Darkness sono pronti a replicare la data dello scorso agosto. La band inglese sarà infatti nuovamente in Italia sabato 20 luglio 2019 al Carroponte di Sesto San Giovanni a Milano.
I The Darkness nei primi anni 2000 sono stati in grado di riportare alla moda tutine attillate e folte chiome in pieno stile anni ’70. Il loro hard rock ispirato a mostri sacri come AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, T-Rex, The Queen e Van Halen ha bucato gli schermi delle emittenti musicali internazionali e surriscaldato le radio di milioni di ascoltatori. A ogni rock party che si rispetti infatti non possono mancare gli acuti in falsetto del cantante Justin Hawkins, accompagnati dalle schitarrate e dagli assoli del fratello Dan su hit intramontabili come Love Is Only a Feeling o One Way Ticket to Hell… and Back.
Con centinaia di show tra Italia ed Europa, molti come supporto di pesi massimi della scena come Black Label Society, Airbourne, Tom Keifer e gli stessi The Darkness, tornano alla carica i Noise Pollution, sempre in promozione dell’ultimo acclamato album Unreal. Appena tornata da un tour Europeo con l’ex Misfits Michale Graves, la band sarà sul palco in Italia per pochi concerti esclusivi, tra cui questo imperdibile appuntamento milanese.
Justin (voce), Dan (chitarra), Frankie (basso) e Rufus (batteria) sono riusciti a portare avanti il proprio progetto musicale affrontando alti e bassi dovuti agli eccessi tipici del rock ’n roll. Dopo una pausa verso la fine degli anni ’00, sono tornati al successo pubblicando altri tre album. L’ultimo di questi, Pinewood Smile, è uscito nel 2017, supportato da singoli come All the Pretty Girls, Solid Gold e Southern Trains. La band è già al lavoro su un nuovo album, e chissà che i quattro ragazzi d’Oltremanica non decidano di farci ascoltare qualche anticipazione dal vivo durante i concerti in arrivo.

Sinónimo: Notelaea azorica Tutin.
Árbol siempreverde, de hasta 8 m de altura, con la corteza de color claro. Sus hojas son enteras, opuestas, lanceoladas u ovadas, glabras, de hasta 6 cm de largo y 3 cm de ancho. Flores axilares, blancas, de pequeño tamaño. El fruto es ovoide, de color azul morado o marrón en estado maduro y hasta 1,5 cm de largo. Especie endémica de las Azores, donde se distribuye por todas las islas excepto Graciosa. Está presente en acantilados costeros, barrancos, laderas y “malpaíses” o campos de lavas recientes, entre los 50 y 750 m de altitud, siendo un componente muy típico de las formaciones de monteverde situadas a menor cota. En el pasado su madera era muy buscada, motivo por el cual, junto a la competencia con la flora introducida, la degradación del hábitat, el efecto del ganado y otros factores de amenaza, las poblaciones de este árbol escasean en ciertas islas. Aún así, llega a ser común en algunas zonas. En Iturraran se encuentra en la zona 1.

Evergreen tree, up to 8 m tall, with light-colored bark. Its leaves are entire, opposite, lanceolate or ovate, glabrous, up to 6 cm long and 3 cm wide. Small, white, axillary flowers. The fruit is ovoid, purple-blue or brown when ripe and up to 1.5 cm long. Endemic species of the Azores, where it is distributed throughout all the islands except Graciosa. It is present in coastal cliffs, ravines, slopes and "malpaíses" or recent lava fields, between 50 and 750 m altitude, being a very typical component of the Monteverde formations located at lower elevations. In the past, its wood was highly sought after, which is why, together with competition with introduced flora, habitat degradation, the effect of livestock and other threatening factors, populations of this tree are scarce on certain islands. Even so, it becomes common in some areas. In Iturraran it is in zone 1.

Sign on the Severn Street Masonic Hall
60 Severn Street, Birmingham, England. This building was originally constructed in 1809 as a Jewish synagogue. In 1813 the synagogue was badly damaged in anti-Semitic riots. It was rebuilt in 1827 by Richard Tutin, and continued to be used as a synagogue until 1857, when the present Singers Hill Synagogue was built around the corner. This building was then sold to the members of “Athol Lodge” and opened as a Masonic Hall in 1858. In 1891 the frontage to Severn Street was redesigned, remodeled, and added to by Essex and Nicol Architects from Birmingham, and remains little altered today.

The Western Lowland Gorilla (Gorilla gorilla gorilla) has suffered exceptionally high levels of hunting- and disease-induced mortality (over 90% in some areas), which combined are estimated to have caused an overall decline of more than 60% over the last 20 to 25 years. Most protected areas have serious poaching problems and Ebola has hit almost half of the habitat under protected status. Both these threats are not readily mitigated.
Because gorillas are long-lived and their reproductive rates are extremely low (maximum intrinsic rate of increase about 3%, Steklis and Gerald-Steklis 2001), they are particularly susceptible to even low levels of
hunting. Moreover, perhaps 20 to 30 years into the future, in addition to on-going habitat loss and degradation, climate change may well become another major threat. (2008 IUCN Red List, Walsh, P.D., Tutin, C.E.G., Baillie, J.E.M., Maisels, F., Stokes & E.J., Gatti, S).
Estimates from the 1980s placed the entire population, which occurs in seven Central African nations, at fewer than 100,000. Since then, scientists believed this number had dwindled by at least half, due to commercial hunting and disease, particularly outbreaks of the Ebola virus, which have extirpated gorillas from a great deal of otherwise intact forest. In early 2008, the estimate of the world’s population of critically endangered Western Lowland Gorillas received a boost with the discovery by WCS teams of large numbers of gorillas in remote and not easily accessible swamp forests in the northern part of the Republic of Congo, bringing the population estimates for north eastern Congo to 125,000. Current estimates of the total population are in the order of 150,000 -200,000 individuals.

Vakar biju Valmierā. Izcila diena! Tik pozitīvi uzlādēti cilvēki gan Vidzemes Augstskolā, gan Domē. Kad uzzināju, ka būsim divi lektori - Zemessardzes pulkvežleitnants, Zemessardzes 22.kājnieku bataljona komandieris Māris Tūtins un es, tad ar interesi gaidīju, kā šis duets par ES lauksaimniecības politiku un zemessardzes tēmu saskanēs. Saskarsmes punkti bija vairāki - lauku attīstība, lai teritorija būtu apdzīvota un tātad - būtu, kas to aizstāv. Nacionālajai drošībai apdzīvotība ir ļoti svarīga. Un, protams, patriotisms, kuru ieaudzina zemessardzē un kuru zemnieki pārvērš zemes augļos. Uzzināju, ka Ukrainas notikumu ietekmē notiek pastiprināta pieteikšanās zemessardzē. Tas ir ļoti svarīgi, jo apliecina mūsu apņēmību neļauties šur tur skanošajai nolemtībai - mēs jau maziņi, lielajiem nedrīkstam lēkt acīs; mūsu bruņotie spēki un zemessardze jau mūs aizstāvēt nespēs. Spēsim, ja tā gribēsim un apņemsimies!

Sono inviperito per quanto mi è successo ieri: Siamo andati dal pediatra dell'ospedale per la prima visita di controllo. Michela ed io, naturalmente, siamo in ritardo: arriviamo trafelati e gelati per il freddo pungente e ci accoglie una signora; "ella" ci indica dove piazzare la carrozzina e dove è sito il fasciatoio. Mentre Michela si siede a colloquio col pediatra, la "sciura" mi chiede già con aria supponente se voglio spogliare io Sofia. Mi mette fretta, ed io, indossando ancora il giubbotto (quei piumini ingombranti col pelo ...) e con le mani ghiacciate prendo in braccio la bimba ed incomincio a slacciare la tutina. Naturalmente le dita non si muovono con la solita velocità e la signora incomincia a sbuffare finchè non pronuncia questa frase: "E' il primo bimbo? Si vede!!!"
COSA???? Brutta @#@#!!!!! Ma come ti permetti??? Ma tu non sai che quando io sono a casa sono l'incaricato di bagnetto e pannolini? Non lo sai che potrei andare al "guinness dei primati"? Che sono da "pit stop alla Ferrari" nel cambio del patello? Non sono stato come te, per due ore alla macchinetta del caffe, mentre una coda di carrozzine si formava come nei giorni d'agosto davanti allo studio del pediatra!!!!!
The Severn Street Masonic Hall is a modest Victorian building, which sits in the shadow of its relatively new neighbour The Mailbox.
The building, often overlooked by passers-by today, was constructed over 150 years before The Mailbox even existed, in a damp, slum area of the city known as the Froggery that was rife with crime and squalor.
The Grade II listed building is the oldest Masonic meeting place in Birmingham and houses a surprising array of Masonic artefacts and regalia dating back more than 200 years.
It was originally built in 1809 as a synagogue for Birmingham's Jewish community and still bears memories of its Jewish heritage.
In 1827 the synagogue was destroyed and rebuilt on the same site by architect Richard Tutin.
William Thomas (c.1799 – 26 December 1860) was an Anglo-Canadian architect. His son William Tutin Thomas (1829–1892) was also an architect, working mostly in Montreal.
Thomas was born in Suffolk. He was apprenticed under Charles Barry and A.W. Pugin as a carpenter-joiner. His younger brother was the sculptor John Thomas (born 1813).
Thomas began his own practice at Leamington Spa in 1831 where he designed many buildings, but in 1837 went bankrupt. In 1843, during a depression in the British building industry, he emigrated to Canada with his wife and 10 children to Toronto, where his career flourished. He designed some of the finest Decorated Gothic Revival architecture in Ontario.
He was also Toronto's city engineer when John George Howard made a trip to England in 1853.[1] He died in Toronto, aged about sixty. Two of his sons, William Tutin Thomas and Cyrus Pole Thomas, also became architects.
Thomas is sometimes inaccurately credited with the architectural design and the elaborate stone carvings on Victoria Hall in Cobourg, Ontario. In fact, Kivas Tully designed the building and the fine sandstone carvings are the work of master stonecarver Charles Thomas Thomas (1820–1867).

Xug quanh Anh tkì có rất nh` cô gái có tkể nói là HOÀNHẢO về mọi mặt :) - Họ xih , họ đẹp , họ lug lih có sức hấp dẫn , họ giàu , ckịu ckơi...và Họ lug là mẫu ng` mà nh` đứa ctrai thíc :)
Hằng ngày Anh típ xúc với rất nh` ng` cgái ^^ - Trog đó cg có cả ng` tkíc Anh :)...và Em cg bík đìu đó ckứ :) Có tkể Anh sẽ ngĩ là bt nkưg đv' cảm xúc of Em tkì chẳg bt đâu ! Thật đấy :)
