This is the Atlantic Ocean at its most pacific. It is rare to see it this calm

My first trip to Maui I noticed this sign on the way to Ma'alea Bay on the side of the road and thought I had to get a photo of it. Of course I never did and a few years later when I went back to Maui the sign was gone. This sign, in the Maui Ocean Center, was all I could find. I hope that the sign wasn't removed because of a decline in nesting Hawksbills to the area.

Runyon and I were out on the golf course early in the morning when we saw a large Eastern Snapping Turtle on the course. I was around 16-18" long (as far as I can tell). I saw a post that indicated that it is nesting season for these reptiles. I was so surprised that we ran back for my camera! The turtle was still there. Very cool wildlife in my neighborhood. These were taken on June 19th, 2020 at the Pine View Golf Course in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Sometimes they dig in the darnedest places, like this one along the side of the busy park road.
