Turtle & a five year old inspecting the animal. She tried holding the turtle a few minutes earlier and when then turtle pulled his back legs out, she threw him down. Fortunately, the turtle was OK.
He was placed back in the lake 100 feet away where he quickly swam away and ended up on our porch again an hour later.
Fun little guy to play with for a while. He disappeared later that night and never showed up again.
I have my opinion on Barbados. It isn’t as paradisiac as people say. At least to me. Having said that, I went for a boat day trip which included swimming with giant turtles… and that, it was amazing!! :)
The guides kept throwing bread around you so the turtles were swimming very very close to you, even sometimes bumping into you. There was also 10000s of fishes swimming around. In fact, I liked it so much that I booked another day trip for the very next day :)
a Turtle swimming in the acquarium M2, near Marina del Campo.. strangely enough, an American (Florida) Turtle...dude...
I went down to the creek to see if the water was higher and it was cool to see the snow and ice on it and water everywhere! My stream use to fill up nearly 3 ft but the guy across the street is reaping the benefits of this waterway to Manasquan River and flows to Atlantic Ocean. He dammed it up somwhere about the last 5 years he has an amazing lake now ...and the watersheds do nothing about it! But I was happy today to get water from the melting snow. :)
Me and my family were at a gas, in Bulgaria. I started to clean the crumbs from the car, and when I opened the door, I saw this turtle. :-)
This was a turtle that a friend rescued from the desert. She is doing very well. In fact she is even well enough to smile!
Montage of two turtle encounters;
1st a little Hawksbill Turtle, who was non-plussed by my presence.
And 2nd, a larger Green Turtle who was disturbed from her resting place by the others in the group - and made a break for it (with 2 remoras in tow).
Nice to see plenty of turtles in & around Kuredu.
