This guy(gal) Eastern Box Turtle was walking across our lawn yesterday morning. It was good to see one again.

I used to catch these when I was a kid and my mom would let me keep them for a day or two but then I had to let them go. I always love to see them.

This is a Stinkpot Turtle photo taken at Tuckahoe State Park on The Lore Of the Land Nature trail . They are a kind of Mud turtle . They can excrete a foul smelling liquid and live in Streams and Creeks .

This turtle came up in the garage yesterday afternoon, April 20, 2010, for a visit. I gave him a ride back out into the woods. This was imaged with my cell phone.

Red eared turtles. they all had their necks out sunning themselves. About twenty in all. Interesting to see. these fellas were about 12 to 14 inches in length approx.

took this picture on my second trip to taman safari wildfee,all the reptiles and amphibians are placed in the room,kinda dark and we just can see them through the transparent glass.

I would not have thought a bed of staghorn coral would be the most comfortable place to nap, but this turtle didn't seem to mind. Diving Heron Island, Great Barrier Reef, Australia.

Turtles in Laidley - chillin' in the creek Easter 2009.

A giant turtle that got washed up on the beach at Pondicherry. Unfortunately, it died a few hours later. Later I got to know that this is a common sight now. Turtles & other marine animals get caught in fishermen's nets & die a very painful death.

My dog Chester led us to this guy. Kind of strange to find a turtle this big in your backyard in town. Chester must have been sniffing the turtle and ended up coming up with a bloody nose.

This is young one. The stripe down the top shell is distinctive for the subspecies.

It was brought to Ecology Camp by Renn Tumlison and I was able to get a few pictures.
