River, that is. An oxbow in BC's Toad River caught my eye. Nice stormy drama as well.
If you want to get away I recommend northern British Columbia. A few more pics from this remote area along the Al Can Highway in comments.

Like the Magpie, this Red Wattle bird will come into my house if the food dish is empty. Sometimes it accompanies the Magpie, it knows that I will give food which he catches in his beak. When I step out into my yard each morning, he is among the first birds to greet me. Unlike some other birds, he does not demand to be fed, instead he makes repeated discreet visits when there are fewer birds around, and will come within arms reach of me, and take food from my hand.
We were thrilled when we got to see the semiplumbeous hawk. They are not seen often but this one was sitting actually fairly low in the tree and stayed for a few minutes before flying off which gave us time to get a few images. Such a beautiful Hawk and this was taken on one of our trips to Costa Rica with Nature's Tapestry Photo Adventure Tours '
Wishing each of you safe and blessed day !!

It's a slow process. At first, you don't notice. You think you are on the side of righteousness and that your indignation is justified. But your reactions are getting more and more mechanical. You are no longer free and able to embrace new, unexpected things. Your emotions are caged, held captive by a set of rigid assumptions claiming to be true. You are singing the tune of an unknown master who is controlling and crippling your emotions. You turn to stone.

This Anna's hummingbird had been at a feeder when it turned and began flying off. Their speed can be as high as 61 mph or 27 meters per second.
My camera is fixed and after 8 hours on the tele with Apple my LR has returned. I have miles to go in my recovery and surgeries but time with my favorites birds has lifted my spirit.
Perhaps a bit noisy but I don't care, These little buddies of mine are starting to warm up to my camera and we are fast becoming friends.
