I suspect the crazily mild graduation into winter that we had here meant that the tree that usually goes brilliant red only went yellow and orange this year but I am loving the magenta leaf stalks!

RHS Hyde Hall, Rettendon, Essex Oct – Nov 2022
This is a small selection of the autumnal colours that I have been seen at RHS Hyde Hall over the last two weeks. Leaves turning colour, flowers dying out and changing. Seed heads and pods emerging and the beauty of it all, is that is so close by. It also serves Tea and Cake.
Ps The Robins are very friendly.

again, Babič's Mill on the River Mura in Slovenia but here I thought I'd have a go at long exposure to get motion blur in the spinning wheels; although the structure appeared to be firmly anchored, I would soon find out that the ship mill was in fact constantly swinging with the flow of water, however imperceptibly; this is the only shot (out of 5 tries) that turned out to be relatively presentable (with the help of editing)
Don't we all have some in our lives? A decision we took, a choice we made, or even one we are about to make. All can be turning points in our lives. And some will just change our focus, or our direction, while others will change our lives forever and ultimately they will define us...
Can be frightening, right? But as intimidating this might sound, keep one thing in mind. Just one thing that makes all the difference in the world.
We are the ones holding that steering wheel. No...?
Noun - The smallest circle in which a vehicle or vessel can turn with out reversing.
This is the last of the three photos taken in the short let up in the UK's two weeks of constant rain. The Circle is made by the Beach Tractor cleaning the beach as it turns to head in the opposite direction.
I can't decide which of the 3 last uploads ('Turning Circle', 'Shepherds Delight' or 'Pier shadows') to use in an up and coming Club competition - I would very much welcome anyones suggestions as to which picture to use. Thanks, Simon.

.... the geraniums that I keep in pots in the porch begin to open as white petals, but then they turn a gentle pink, and finally a deep pink. These few flowers are at various stages of opening out. There's a link to the porch full of geraniums in the first comment field

While beautiful, this dying leaf evokes a sense of poignancy in me as it is a vivid reminder of the turning seasons and that time ruthlessly marches on.

Inaugurated in 1998, the Hemisfèric was the first building in the City of Arts and Sciences to open its doors to the public.
Designed by Santiago Calatrava, it features an ovoid shell over 100 meters in diameter, housing a large spherical projection room.
It represents a large human eye, the eye of wisdom. This element symbolizes the gaze and observation of the world, which visitors discover through surprising audiovisual projections.

Like the Magpie, this Red Wattle bird will come into my house if the food dish is empty. Sometimes it accompanies the Magpie, it knows that I will give food which he catches in his beak. When I step out into my yard each morning, he is among the first birds to greet me. Unlike some other birds, he does not demand to be fed, instead he makes repeated discreet visits when there are fewer birds around, and will come within arms reach of me, and take food from my hand.
River, that is. An oxbow in BC's Toad River caught my eye. Nice stormy drama as well.
If you want to get away I recommend northern British Columbia. A few more pics from this remote area along the Al Can Highway in comments.
