I made up a recipe involving lamb, onions, carrots, rice, tumeric, cinnamon, ginger, chicken stock, golden raisins, and toasted almonds and it was a big hit. I'm thinking next time to get some cardamom to add to it too.

This one is beautiful I think. It's got tumeric and spiced tea in there! There was a moroccan theme going on for a series but my camera has stopped working so they will have to wait for another day. I am normally all about bold so it is nice to explore the more subtle colours and softer side. Lovely!

Carrots, romanesca cauliflower, potato, zucchini, tomatoes, and chopped beet greens in a sauce made with mashed cashews, garam massala, cumin, coriander, tumeric, paprika, a little bit of sugar, shallots and garlic. And of course, hot peppers. You have to have hot peppers.

Prepping stuffed duck for Sunday. The marinade contained chilli, cardamon, nutmeg, cumin, galangal, tamarind, cloves, tumeric, garlic and probably other things I can't remember right now...

We saw a local ceremony called Theyam where a member of the community transform into one of many gods and then performs a dance and blessing for the community members who attend. This photo is of the transformation process - using tumeric, rice paste, and tamarind for the make-up.
