I don't know much about Palestine (lots of good answers here) or the genocide in Iraq (LA Times article on the situation), but I know it isn't good and must be stopped.

Image Processing

This was taken using the TrueHDR app on my iPhone 3GS.

It consists of two photos merged together. The traffic light pole reflectors are a little oversaturated, but I think the majority of the photograph turned out pretty nicely.

Original shot at flic.kr/p/91oNT9 done with TrueHDR natural settings on my iPhone 4. Processed on Instagram with X-Pro II filter: instagr.am/p/i6Wb/

Shot with iPhone 4 using TruHDR. Further processing in HDR Efex Pro and Aperture.

Daily App Experiment #276 "Prospecting" - Today's #appsperiment is really just a test to see what happens if I ran a bunch of "detail enhancing" apps together to see what would happen. Could I combine multiple enhancements and still get a normal looking photo? I took this shot with Camera+ then used the Clarity filter to boost the details. I saved a light and a dark version of this image, then opened each of these images in #orasis and let it do it's detail enhancement thing. I then took these two Orisis images and merged them in #trueHDR. So I enhanced in Camera+, Orasis, and then TrueHDR, all in the hopes of getting a version of my original image that had more details, but wasn't totally blown out. BTW, if you like Clarity, you might dig Orasis. #daily_appsperiment

First picture taken with the TrueHDR iPhone app. Nifty!

Thank you, Automatt, for the tip.

One of my favorite shots from the morning… and it's from the iPhone! It's actually two photos, combined with the TrueHDR app.

The weather has been really unpredictable today. The weather was windy and cloudy this morning and now the sun is out and it's a beautiful evening. This photo was taken just as the dark clouds were fading into the distance and the sun was starting to come out.

I wondered what would happen if I would process one of my old photoshoots at the DSM building. With my new knowledge, techniques and software it comes out quite differently. Didn't choose for total realism this time.

Daily App Experiment #203 - "Sunset and Curls" - Inspired by a tutorial that @johncurley posted on the Objective Scenes blog yesterday, I set out to capture tonight's sunset using a long exposure technique with the #slowshutter app. I've had SlowShutter for many months, but hadn't taken any time to play with it until tonight. I used a 30 second exposure for this pic then, also sticking with John's advice, used #Cameramatic to play around with hues and filters. The orange circles in the center of the image came from tweaking some of the advanced settings in the "Filter Development" mode. I liked the effect, but thought it was a bit much, so I merged a subtler version with the "blazing sun" version using #TrueHDR. If you haven't seen the guest posts that John has been doing, you really should check out www.ObjectiveScenes.com this week. Lots of great articles and images. #appsperiment #daily_appsperiment
