Hit 'L' to view on large.
An abandoned cotton spinning mill somewhere in Wales. Abandoned for some time, not sure on the history behind it. Visited with Wiffsmiff23. Ended up doing some obscure macro work as part of the visit too.

Don't drive sad. I wonder what the problem was, but the anxiety shows in the tram driver's face. He has to watch he doesn't go off the rails.
Do you reckon the passengers behind are listening in?

Goodbye Troubles
A poem by Peter S. Quinn
Love let new spring be you
Fresh in its new beginning
Heart always young and true
From growth now singing
Let me know of your laughter
Every footstep new and bold
Beautiful day’s morning after
Growth in earth from the old
Love look to my path afresh
Let me see the forest growing
So I'll know how to enmesh
With the tide's timeless going
Give my heart spring once more
Pull the way for gracious love
I need your feelings to be sure
What this throbbing is all of
Doubtful old days into the past
Those wonderful sights ahead
Rainy clouds I have by-passed
Goodbye troubles get joy instead
Pull up your friendliest smile
All the outside’s now looking in
Let aspiring hope be here awhile
Where has the laughter been?

Not actually twins, but a mating pair of Blue Jays. I know this because they hang around the yard and have been exhibiting mating behaviour, like always staying together, preening each other, and sharing goodies. They are very cute, although they do cause a lot of commotion around the feeders.
Stopped by to see if Henrietta the butterfly was around her usual spot. She was hanging out minding her own business, when this huge bee came out of no where and attacked her from behind. The next shot I'm going to post is Henrietta in mid flight with the bee attacking her.
I used four florabella textures. Honey, French Canvas warm, Patina bw and Tea stained.
Friendships happen is the most unexpected places and I love every moment spent with this amazing woman! From shopping to gossip or just standing around, every conversation is nothing but laughter and smiles when we are together ♥ My Bestie ♥ My Wifey ♥ My Boopy ♥

Double trouble! British Railways liveried LSL D6817 and D6851 are seen gargling through Fiddlers Gill with 1Z44 from Perth to North Road. This is I believe the 5th leg of Hosking’s private tour around the Uk. (27/09/20)

- XoXo,
Canimal.
St John in the US Virgin Islands offers amazing beaches and vistas. Combined with some weather, I was able to capture a scene straight out of my imagination.
This image was shot as a 7 exposure bracket and combined to create a 32 bit tif. It was adjusted in Lightroom 4 and enhanced in Photoshop.

an older shot of mine.......
Troubled waters is a track by Richard Hawley, and is more suited to the post referendum result than the photo. Suilven has a timeless beauty, and I just love sitting in these mountains, watching time pass.
I used to be a bigger Taylor Swift fan, but right now I have "I knew you were trouble" stuck in my head. I'm pretty sure that black horse was trouble; he kept giving me an evil glare :P
Despite the fact that I've kept posting fairly regularly I feel like I haven't really done much lately. Need some new inspiration...
Swallow-tailed Kite
Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge
07/20/2014
This swallow-tailed kite is in big trouble. He doesn’t belong in the water and can’t swim a lick. He came off his roost one morning with Spanish moss wrapped around his legs and wings. When he took off to begin his day of foraging for insects, birds and small mammals, he began a slow and deadly descent into the lake.
Fortunately for this bird, he is a survivor as we were on a boat nearby to photograph their morning rituals of drinking and skimming the lake surface before they head off to their feeding grounds. We were lucky enough to have a wildlife rehabber on board who knew exactly what to do.

This little girl is the Granddaughter of an old friend. Her little life has been a mess thus far and I can only imagine what is going through her mind. I think this capture evokes her emotions of frustration and sadness. I intended this shot to be poignant and candid. Bless this child. I’d like to contribute this photo to Flickr Social for black and white portraits.
