Little Red, Big Ears, and Butterscotch, offspring of Big Red and White-Paw from 2013

Though once unusual at the height of summer, now not so much. Even the woman at our hotel said it didn't usually happen at this time of year. High tides now flood large parts of St Marks Square, the water bubbling up from the drains save for a dry island down the middle showing the square isn't completely flat. On days like this day in 30+ temperatures it's quite pleasant to walk about in it and tourists find it fascinating and curious. Just so long you don't think of what might be in it...

That cloud was full of hailstones as I found out ten minutes later.

Two women pass in Jerusalem's old city.... By Mark Higham

strange holes... Emajõgi river, Tartu

There may be trouble ahead! (But while there's music and moonlight and love and romance, let's face the music and dance!)

If you're looking for trouble

You came to the right place

If you're looking for trouble

Just look right in my face

I was born standing up

And talking back

My daddy was a green-eyed mountain jack

Because I'm evil, my middle name is misery

Well I'm evil, so don't you mess around with me

Greater Yellowlegs, mixing it up. It was around the time of the eclipse, but I have no idea if that was a factor.

A spotted cucumber beetle climbs a leaf. These guys damage crops by eating leaves and fruit and can spread disease across plants.

Red Deer stag looking for intruders

MRL's Laurel-Bozeman train heads west along the Yellowstone River outside of Columbus, MT. In June, much of Montana was hit with a period of heavy flooding, ultimately claiming one life and costing the state $29 million in damage. On this summer day, the Yellowstone is noticeably high and discolored from the amount of earth swept away by the rising water levels.
