Finished the final mosaic trivet (five in all) before Christmas so all is well. :)
I like the turquoise and silver combination so much that I decided to make a couple of refrig. magnets, too.
(Kept those for now. :)

The first studio that I worked out of in San Francisco received more foot traffic than where I did my work in Lothian, Maryland. As I was finishing my first hedgehog tea set, I received a request by somebody who saw the tea set in progress. This woman asked if I would be able to make a small planter the size of one of the teacups. I quickly made one, but lost the information of the person who requested it. I ended up quickly selling the prototype to somebody else and have been perfecting the idea ever since, just in case I find this customer again. #animal #wildlife #wild #planter #trivet #planting #plant #green #growing #living #peperomia #pottedplant #potting #clay #ceramic #stoneware #pottery #sculpture #handmade #wheel #wheelthrown #hedgehog #hedgie #functional #home #upsidedown
Made with two skeins (one in each colour) of Filati Fantasia Carezza cotton, on a 4.0mm hook. Pattern is Loretta Schepp's Starburst Hotpad, which is free online. It's a great pattern, and the finished product is very attractive. I steam blocked these to make them lay flat and look sharp.
