So Cute! This is a trivet from Mom's collection. The circles are bottlecaps inside crochet circles. I didn't make this one, but I think someone's grandma must have.
A trivet made with colorful plastic beads is backlit by a very bright light as we look at it through a clear glass bowl itself decorated with amazing little beads of glass. It's interesting that the colored light passing through the plastic beads is quite different than the light those beads reflect. I'll post a picture of the trivet itself later.

Used 98% scraps for this projects - yay! I fussy cut the centre so I have a fork, spoon and strawberry - yum!
I finally made one! Way too cute to pass up ♥ Thanks to my lovely, multi-function, incredibly cheap printer, though, I couldn't scale up the pattern, so it measures about 6.5" across. Love how it turned out though!
I made this out of thick and thin yarn, sewed it together, and decorated it with small bits of Indian silk.
I rescued this pretty little quilted block from a friend's trash can! I thought it would make a sweet mug rug so I finished it with cute binding, embroidery and a cupcake tag :o)

I thought I would try something different, I made a trivet for my 2-cup teapot. I think it's adorable, really keeps the pot hot.
I found a nut lying on the kitchen floor some weeks ago. I had no idea where it had come from but I kept it in a little basket on top of the microwave oven. Today I was using this wooden trivet to put a hot oven dish on - and saw that one of the nuts was missing. So now it's back in its proper place :)
