It's hard to capture the actual color of this yarn--it is greener than it appears here. I like the seamless crochet method from Omdahl's book! Right as I was blocking this, I found a mistake, so had to cut and recrochet one of the motifs but it wasn't terribly difficult. Looking forward to trying more patterns from Seamless Crochet.

These Fiesta trivets appreciated tonight's dinner so much, they rose and gave a standing ovation.

Available in most of the line's colors, these handy ceramic discs make for wonderful hot plates.

My first attempt at a string quilt. From Fresh Quilting by Malka Dubrawsky, using her Simple Marks fabric. My husband uses it as an accordion rest.

Leah got me a couple of hex looms so I could make these cute flower hot pads and trviets. It's really fun and easy! I made this one last night in about an hour with cotton yarn.

I have that trivet that's on the wall next to Samantha.

I was watching Bewitched. I like to watch bewitched and pause it on shots of the rooms so I can admire the decor. I love their house. Anyway, I noticed my trivet hanging on the kitchen wall. I nearly passed out. It's probably not the same trivet but isn't the thought that it might be the same one too glamorous.

I am now selling my bottle cap trivets exclusively through Bitter and Esters - the awesome new brew shop recently opened by my friends Doug and John in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. My Etsy store is currently in "Vacation Mode" while I decide whether it is worth the energy it takes to maintain. It has been useful for networking and publicity, but it has become more difficult promoting items with the increased volume of sellers. www.bitterandesters.com (formerly City Brewshop)

My sister has been making some cool mosaics out of stained glass. She made this trivet for Melissa and I for Christmas. The smokey stained glass matches our dining room table- which is a bonus.

Thanks Libby!

Tenuous link: Rivet --> Ribbit.

I took a photo of this plant trivet because I liked the patination on it.

Now that I have added a textured wall background it looks like an window in a church!

No dishes were harmed in the making of these trivets. Named for the quilt pattern, Broken Dishes, I made these from glass tile. Perfect for a mug of tea or a cup of coffee, 6x6 inches.

This set was commissioned by a friend who was looking for a pitcher and trivet to corrdinate with her decor and wallpaper border.
