This afternoon I was trying to get a nice photo of Trigger, another one of the neighbor dogs I see in the park near my house most days. Everyone was in motion all the time tonight, though, so I didn't get as good of a shot as I wanted. Here is an introduction of Trigger, though, and I'll endeavor to get a better photo of her in the coming days.
The last photo in my first attempt at high speed flash photography and this one I really like as I was able to capture the image just as the balloon was bursting off the water and also by this stage I had figured out the numbers e.g the distance the fps of the BB gun etc, and the right amount of water needed in the balloon so it popped straight away.
Was taken using a sound trigger and a delay unit whilst shooting the balloon with a BB gun.
anyone having trouble with the "latching effect" on SCR-based triggers, this is the solution. Thanks to RUDY__ for enlightning us :)

Distribution of land in the Peters Colony of North Texas triggered a dispute known as the Hedgcoxe War. The Texas Emigration & Land Co. organized the colony under an 1841 Republic of Texas law which allowed it to keep one-half of a settler's grant. After protests, this right was repealed, but in Feb. 1852 the company was compensated with 1,088,000 acres of vacant land within the colony. This action angered settlers and speculators with land certificates, who feared that the large grant would lower land values. At that time, the company's unpopular agent, English-born Henry O. Hedgcoxe, operated a land office on nearby Office Creek. On July 12 and 13, 1852, a group of Dallas men broke in and examined the land records. They reported to a meeting in Dallas on July 15 that the company was defrauding the colonists. John J. Good (1827-82), later mayor of Dallas, then led a band of armed men to Hedgcoxe's office. Hedgcoxe escaped, but most of his files were seized and the office burned. After the raid, tensions quickly cooled. The law was amended so that settlers obtained their grants from the state rather than from the company agent. The company kept its land grant, however, and Hedgcoxe returned to help survey the tract.

SB24 on the ground at camera left. Fired with GI triggers. Of course, I was set up for right handed golfers, but I like the way this one turned out with the additional light on his back instead of his face.
This is really a good business.
The nikon wireless trigger is simple, useful, small and a great solution to shot your camera anywhere.
I've bought it for 13usd in Amazon and I've used it more or less 1000 times :P , it's my friend when I want to take photos from myself without help and when I want to shot with my tripode, for example HDR photos, to avoid to move the camera.

For this photo I haven't used it :P , I've put the flash next to the trigger at 90 degrees bouncing the light to the white roof.
The last thing that I was it's to open the image in Photoshop and I made a very contrasted black and white image with Nik Color Efex plugin. That's really cool!
Smoke triggers the same odd contorsions as ants do. The same passive /active movements and postures are used. The rook picks up a burning cigarette bud in its beak, goes into a magnificent anting posture and rubs it up and down the inside of its arched wings.
These movements are combined with the "passive " form. The bird simply sits on top of the burning cigarette, with streched wings, thus allowing the smoke to pass through its feathers. This behaviour appears to be more common in corvids than in other birds. In the midle ages, crows, rooks and jackdaws engaged in the same odd behaviour, using not cigarettes, but smoldering embers.They sometimes carried them back to their nest. This is why crows were thoght to be responsible for starting fires. Because of this reason, these birds were known by then as "Aves Incendiaria"(fire birds). While fumigating its feathers, the rook's posture, with wings spread and head turned to one side, resembles the mythical Phoenix, the bird reborn from fire. So it may well be that these birds indulging in pest control spawned the Phoenix legend...
