Heavy monsoon rains have triggered the worst floods since 1929 in Pakistan's northwest, killing more than 400 people and forcing hundreds of thousands to flee from their homes
Three days of torrential rains caused rivers to burst their banks in several places and unleashed widespread destruction in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, destroying houses, bridges, schools, roads and railway tracks.
Amongst the worst hit areas are Nowshera Charsadda and Swat with hundreds and thousands of people without food, shelter or clean water.
Vivtar 285 back cam left for rim light.

SB-600 high camera left to add more definition to the shape.
I used low camera angle to hide the harsh shadows on the backround.
Now I even have a setup shot.
I saw someone else do this in a photomag, and I wanted to give it a go.

Vagabond II
A laser trigger was set up to take photos (and fire a flash) of everyone who passed through the doorway of the code.lab space.
The images were then sent to a computer which analyzed them as they were received and attempted to detect faces. (badly)
The S-Trig input has been changed from 2-pin Jones to a 1/4". This just begs to be converted to V-Trig.

Cactus v5 triggers
Created this a few years ago. Not quite as topical these days, which means Palin isn't as topical, and that's probably a very good thing.
I have used the Trigger Tuesday image to inspire this birthday card for a friend's daughter. I used the idea of a household item, making the paper doily into an uncommon item, and the brown, teal and yellow colors. The dress and hanger are handcut by me. Thank you for taking a look!
Having the flash balanced on the trigger with the hotshoe adaptor looked a bit of a weak link in the system. Took the bracket out and fitted a short length of bungie cord and a small PC sync cable. Had to get a hotshoe adaptor for the SB-600 as no PC sync input.

The circuitry inside the shutter release cable. Note that the AF (Auto Focus) and the RLS (Release) wordings on the left. The pink cable (RLS), the white able (SH or shield) and the yellow cable (AF) that are only in use for the shutter release cable. However, only the RLS and SH will be used for wireless triggering. Thus, the AF trace on the left has to be disconnected.

two 550s - triggered with cactus V2s shot around 1/4 power.
there was no overlooking position, so i put my camera on a mono pod and set the 10 second timer. I asked everyone to look up at the camera, and this is the shot i got.

Didn't have a lot of inspiration today... but photography and off-camera lighting are my current hobbies so it kinda makes sense.
I tried to make the photo dramatic rather than having another boring photographer-in-the-mirror picture. :)
