I received my Adorama Flashpoint radio triggers. All I could think to do was shoot the cat ;-)
Nothing fancy here; I just bounced an old Sunpak 544 off the ceiling. I was using my old FujiFilm S9000. Even though it's old, and doesn't match the XTi, I paid a lot of money for it, so I figure I might as well use it once in a while. Besides, if the radio triggers malfunctioned I figured that I wouldn't be out my regular camera. I do like the idea of the S9000; it looks like a DSLR and has full manual everything.
There's really nothing here that I couldn't do with my ST-E2, infrared trigger, and my Canon flash, but being able to go full manual with the radio trigger means more consistent results and less excuses about what the computer decided the right exposure should be. I guess I don't have a 28mm lens that will focus this close, either.

I finally got ambitious enough to set up the second flash. Sunpak 544 for main flash with an old Promaster FTD 5950 set at 1/16th power (it only has two settings - full and 1/16th); both triggered by Adorama Flashpoint radio triggers. On this expedition into the backyard I discovered that I can only reliably synch to 1/160th of a second, which is kind of a bummer.

This is straight out of the camera - almost. Canon raw file developed with Canon's Digital Photo Professional, no exposure or color adjustments.
This little guy's name is Trigger. He belongs to Bob, who is behind me. Bob's family got fed up with living in a small motorhome so they went back to England. Trigger is his only companion while he builds his house.

This is just a square cut out an old cd jewel case. A little strip of gaffer tape will hold it on and its fairly easy to get access when needed

Kim found this old picture frame in our attic and decided to use it as a trellis. She strung some fishline inside for the plants to climb.
Out playing with the Flashpoint Radio Triggers. I was shooting to have a small portion of the photo properly illuminated, with the rest slight underexposed. I think this technique works better with a wide angle lens. I did use some home-made barn doors to limit the light spread.

My arm engulfed in string lights with a temporary tattoo that i would like to soon make real(;
I love the lighting!
This is the last time Trigger really fit in my lap. This is February 2011. He is 3 months old in this picture.
