In March I had an opportunity to visit my sister in Victoria, Texas. While visiting we toured many areas where I was able to get a photo shoot in. On this day we stayed in Victoria and traveled to the outskirts where this lazy river was flowing. Right on that river bank was a bar and grill where we relaxed with a Martini and shrimp. Such a nice view from their outdoor deck! Some of the views are abstract with many reflections. I will be uploading each place separately as I get them ready to view. We may not have a lot of blooms at this time of year, but we have wonderful color in some leaves, even in coastal California.
In late afternoon light, the bright colors really stand out! It’s a good time to visit with the camera.
“Tree of Life” in New Orleans. At nearly 500 years old, I was excited to be able to photograph this tree this week while visiting New Orleans. As Easter represents a new life, an eternal life, I wanted to post this on Easter Sunday. Happy Easter!!!

I photograph this at the water lily nursery,
it is part of the garden next to his home, an old home that belong to the great grandfather, this place is family owned for 4 generations.
and I literally did.....just needed the right spot which happened to be just past the waters edge! Very nearly titled 'Get Lost' as 'H' and I were trying to find this on our own.....
After leaning on this tree trunk to take some pictures of the lake, I decided to make it the subject in this picture. :)

The light in these snow coated trees caught my eye on a recent walk. Now, sadly, the snow is melting!
