ALTERNATE ...

Just a little below the center is a FACE guarding the tree trunk! I didn't see her until later. Her left eye is covered but the right eye, nose and mouth are visible!

A beautiful area of the country where some relatives live, I think the tree trunks, leaves, and stream know they are performing a natural symphony in the Fall.

It will be easier for me if you comment on the photo so I can respond faster. Thank you for your visit and comments, really appreciated!!

Just a comical shot (well for me it was) as I watched these 2 Canadian Geese. Just beyond the trunk there was a large group of people having a picnic on the sand and these 2 were watching them intently. The moment they left they jumped over the trunk and headed for the water in a flash.

Unterwegs mit der neuen Handycamera - auch spannend :)

Finding out what the (new :) mobile phone camera can do.

All of these four originated from the cut tree trunk I posted a few days ago, see first comment. Don’t ask me how, but it was fun!

Trees

BY JOYCE KILMER

I think that I shall never see

A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest

Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,

And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in Summer wear

A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;

Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,

But only God can make a tree.
