In March I had an opportunity to visit my sister in Victoria, Texas. While visiting we toured many areas where I was able to get a photo shoot in. On this day we stayed in Victoria and traveled to the outskirts where this lazy river was flowing. Right on that river bank was a bar and grill where we relaxed with a Martini and shrimp. Such a nice view from their outdoor deck! Some of the views are abstract with many reflections. I will be uploading each place separately as I get them ready to view.

treetrunk at the shore of lake lech, snowcovered, nearly forgotten - like the year 2023.
Wish you all a fantastic and successful new year 2024!

On February 5, 2021we had another soft snowfall that came down as a beautiful, white, fluffy snow. Since I had my Canon at home I felt fortunate to be able to photograph nature at its finest, up close and personal in the woods and hillside behind my home. This is the split trunk of a huge and famous old coral tree, down near the beach. I should have put Benni in for size but I really liked how the trunk and roots looked like a huge creature.
The birch grove at Tawas Point (Tawas Point State Park, Michigan) has given in to the excessive levels of water. I wanted to immortalize the trunks with my photography

Still walking in the park, Its beginning to look alot like the Autumn months already.................
Machynlleth is a market town, community and electoral ward in Powys, Wales and within the historic boundaries of Montgomeryshire. It is in the Dyfi Valley at the intersection of the A487 and the A489 roads. At the 2001 Census it had a population of 2,147, rising to 2,235 in 2011.
After I removed a tree from my garden some years ago, I kept a section of the trunk to allow birds to perch on it and for fungi and lichen etc to colonise. I notice that wood-worm have also take up residence.
For Crazy Tuesday. Theme - Textures in nature.
During a Saturday afternoon walk with some of his siblings yesterday, Cometan took this vertical image as he looked above to the treetops. The light and position of the trees coupled with the backdrop of the deep blue sky made for a curious image, no doubt one for Cometan’s summer collection!

As said , had to be done - this is a fairly large patch of snowdrops by the road side . Some are in regimented rows next to the kerb of the road , but set back here they grow randomly and what you see is only one small patch . So a quick stop on the way to the dump and then back to more day to day issues !!
This is regrowth on a eucalyptus tree which was cut down in the garden a few years ago because it was feared strong winds would blow it over into a neighbour's garden. The trunk is still left and you see these growing out of the base of the trunk. They're like little blue and silvery discs. I'm quite taken by them and have been trying for a while to capture a half decent photo of them.
This was one of the most intensive and longest enduring burning skies I have seen for a long time. Luckily it happened right in front of a very juicy foreground. Was waiting for years to get epic light on a fresh, fluffy snow coverage. The tree trunk comes from a very special old tree, I have photographed many times before. Grab a hot chocolate, lean back and enjoy the view!
