This picture makes me think of Shelob from Lord of the Rings

...an hour before this photo, I had a huge tree in front of my house, now all thats left is this trunk!

....I decided to take a photo of the trunk every now and then....

....here the first four photo's, there are approximately 3 months between each photo.

Taken during a Nottingham photography meet-up.

This makes me sad.

I discovered that the different species of palm trees had very different bark. See next pic too!

Adventitious roots?

In the summer of 2020 and in response to the Covid 19 restrictions a series of three mini concerts were held in the Royal Botanic Garden at three different locations in the park. The concerts were offered at half hourly intervals for reduced groups of about 30 people.
