Found this tree on the Olympic Peninsula last fall. I guess this tree is something on the order of a thousand years old. You can easily fit 2 or 3 people inside it.

taken with Fujifilm X-M1 and Samyang / Rokinon / Walimex 12mm ultra wide lense. in postproduction mainly horizontally mirrored.
Violating a rule of composition I inserted, deliberately at the center of the composition, the tree in the foreground to enhance the grandeur and the bare weaving of the branches, balancing it with the two "brothers" on the sides.
The atmosphere is of a soft winter sunset.
Violando una regola della composizione ho inserito, volutamente al centro della composizione, l'albero in primo piano per esaltarne l'imponenza e la spoglia tessitura dei rami, bilanciandolo con i due "fratelli" ai lati.
L'atmosfera è di un tenue tramonto invernale.

You know how science nerds create those hypothetical time-elapse photos to show how a city would change if humans disappeared from the face of the earth? I think we have that phenomenon in Caracas, where trees take root and quickly dominate parking garages.
taken under a tree at the UofM(d). the lighting was just insanely beautiful and the tree aligned in this weird way to lend the shot a spherical effect that looks almost 'shopped, but is entirely natural.

Week 40 Trees
Stately rows of birch trees that are slowly shedding their leaves signifying the change in season from late summer to early autumn. We have been fortunate in the UK this year to have had some lovely late summer sunshine, so the transition into the cooler autumn weeks has been delightfully delayed!
This area is one of the nicest parts of Bedford with pleasant walks along the Embankment of the Great River Ouse on the eastern edge of the town, and is an area I often walk the dog along.
The symmetry of the 300 year old oak trees caught my eye. 300 year old trees!!!

Stood still it did, dreaming of glories past, present and future. It wasn't an ancient by any means but what it has seen it made up for its immobility, infecting those around it with a dreamasque purpose.
A tougher day today - blue sky start before cloud rolled in. Gave me a chance of something atmospheric as the "tree" this evening
