Tuesday February 16, 2016 the Rochester New York US area was covered with an 18 inch snow fall. This black and white was taken afterward in the pinetum area of Highland Botanical Park. designed by famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead in 1890.

Madame Casimer Perier is one of the earliest hybrids by the great French hybridizer Victor Lemoine. This beautiful double white lilac was named in 1894, one of the over 200 lilacs that Victor Lemoine and his sons created. Many are still available in the nursery trade today. (from a 2009 Park sign)

10 to 15 Upasana Society volunteers did a plantation drive in Tungareshwar Academy High School at Vasai which is around 10 kms from Vasai railway station.

200 and more of Fruit, flower and medical plants were planted in the school on 3rd January 2016.

We tagged almost 50 to 60 plants with names of people who had contributed towards those plants.
