Yet another Photoshop exercise.
A practice work from exercises on selecting, dragging and editing layers within Photoshop from Deke McClelland's book Adobe Photoshop CS3 one-on-one.
In this exercise, we had to use path tools as a selection method to capture the Pelican Trash Can and place it on its own layer. It was then merged with the funky lake background. It was also merged with a shadow and the text was also added via a text elements layer.
Path tools helped select percise edges but it was not an easy thing to do... although the method is also used in programs such as Corel Draw.
I have a feeling that Talara is a significant contributor to that Texas-sized wad of plastic trash spinning languidly in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

The Art of Recycling...
One way of recycling garbage, is to turn it into art... This one is a plastic cup from a fastfood chain...
At the end, it still went to the trash... what's left is just the photographs...
