There were lots of tourists and people selling things to tourists around the pyramids, and they left a lot of trash
I was totally on my way to take protest pictures, but then Bridget called and told me to bring her Chinese food instead. Oh well. Took a few misc shots around an abandoned building on my way home.
(To be fair, the Chinese food was really delicious)

The rain really brought out the color of the red wall. I liked how the trash bin was so close to the new handbags in the window... only a few feet and a wall separating them.
Our neighbors had this trash truck crash into their home after the brakes failed coming down a steep road. Fortunately no one in the home was seriously injured and both truck riders jumped out before impact. One was injured and will be okay, but glad it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Darwin has a man known as 'The Rubbish Warrior', he collects trash and leaves it by the roadside. Sometimes you can see these stacks of rubbish dotted along the road for miles.

We found this on someone's curb, waiting to be deposited into a landfill. Chris rescued it, fixed a broken leg or two, painted, and distressed it. Isn't it cute? The color is not exactly right in this picture, but it is close.
We saw this idea of using small galvanized trash cans hanging from the dresser on Young House Love. We picked these 2 trash cans up from Ikea. Unfortunately only one fit on the side of the dresser but we still like the look. We're planning on using one of these to hold dirty cloth diapers and the other one for actual trash (like dirty wipes).
This is what the trash compactor at my apartment building looks like after the Thanksgiving holiday. I've 'fixed' the compactor and cleared the area before, but I just couldn't bring myself to be the trashperson again. Shame on me.
