This house was so much fun to photograph. There were little goodies all over the place. This house is my number one favourite now :)

It took around two hours to drive from my brother's house to the Trapper Peak trailhead. Along the way, we stopped along the roadside to take a picture of our hiking party in front of this highway marker. The tallest summit in the Bitterroot range, Trapper Peak rises to 10, 157 feet. It is seen here as the middle point (which, due to perspective, appears to be shorter than East Trapper to the left and North Trapper to the right.)

Peder Salvesen hadde butikk til høyre, antagelig noe senere enn dette bildet er tatt. Postkontoret kom da til venstre i huset. Det gamle postkontoret på Vigeland. Personene er fra høyre; Albertine Salvesen (mor til Bjarne Salvesen), Johanne Vigeland gift med poståpner Otto Vigeland, ukjent, Theodor Braadland og Teresie Vigeland som ble praktiserende jordmor her i samme huset senere.

monochrome frontispiece and five inserted plates signed Chas. Edw. Hooper, ix, 441 pages + three page publisher's catalog "American Sportsman's Library". Numerous line drawings in the text.
Original publisher's green vertical rib-grain cloth cloth over boards, gilt titles to spine and front cover, pictorial front cover blocked in black and cream with a design of sporting accoutrements by Charles Edward Hooper, and with his monogram 'CH' in the block.
Top edge olivine, others untrimmed.
"Mr. Sandys attempts to tell the growing boy what is good for him to know, and points out the way to enjoy himself. He gives directions for making certain things, which the boy needs in hunting, fishing, or other sports, in a simple way." [New York Times April 4, 1903]
Charles Edward Hooper executed decorations for Jack London's "The Call of the Wild" (NY: Macmillan Company, 1903) and the pictorial front cover has the same monogram as this book.
