One of my frequent jaunts when the photography addiction kicks in is a 25 mile ride over Trappers Loop, that serves as the access road to Snowbasin resort. The views are phenominal. This is an Aspen grove that's probably 4 miles away.

Crex Meadows Wildlife Area, Grantsburg/Burnett County, WI. April 15th, 2007.
From the Auto Tour pamphlet:
Crex Headquarters
Crex Meadows is part of a much larger complex of properties known as Glacial Lake Grantsburg (GLG). GLG also includes Fish Lake, Amsterdam Sloughs and Danbury Wildlife Areas. The entire complex totals more than 70 square miles. These lands are administered from the Crex headquarters complex. One project manager, and interpretive wildlife manager, a mechanic and four wildlife technicians are assigned to the GLG project.
Be sure to stop at the new Crex Meadows Wildlife Education and Visitor center on the corner of County Roads D and F. It contains several displays with more than forty mounted birds and mammals. A variety of pamphlets are available here to help you enjoy your visit.
Volunteers of "Friends of Crex" sell caps, tee-shirts, and other items at the Education Center. All profits from the sales are used to benefit the Crex Meadows Wildlife Interpretive Program.
Stop in, look over the displays and feel free to ask questions.
