One of the three large "raised" forms that came out of the kiln this morning had a large crack in it, on the base where it must have been hammered very thin. I do like the translucency however!
This is Stratford 6-50 porcelain from Tucker, fired around cone 7-8 in oxidation.
A very simple shot, of a lovely little pink flower.
What makes this one special, is the beautiful spring sun shining through the petals, adding a layer of contrast and interest.
It's amazing that those tiny, paper-thin, translucent wings can move so darn fast!
