The Butchart Gardens are a major tourist attraction outside of Victoria, B.C. We visited there on a brisk, showery day in May 2011. Definitely worth the trip despite the crowds and rain. I wish I knew more about flowers and had a macro lens - this would be a good place to use it.

About Semuc Champey, Guatemala
Semuc Champey is a natural monument in the department of Alta Verapaz, Guatemala, near the Q'eqchi' Maya town of Lanquín. It consists of a natural 300 m limestone bridge, under which passes the Cahabón River. Atop the bridge is a series of stepped, turquoise pools, a popular swimming attraction. Although it can be difficult to get to, Semuc is becoming more and more popular with travelers.
This guy kind of snuck up on me while I was fiddling with my camera. Once again, I didn't get the whole bird in the frame but I like the way you can see through his feathers.
Thought about selling this factory girl for so many times, especially when I spend more money on blythe dolls again, but somehow I just can't...
Again the result of playing a little with my friend PS to have some settings explained for an other friend.
I found this arrangement at the beach today and thought it might be good for playing :)
This gorgeous spider is known by the common names of "Black and yellow garden spider;" "Corn spider;" and my personal favorite, "Writing spider," because the central portion of the web (the stabilimenta) bears a resemblance to writing.

A translucent 15 metre pool suspended high overhead will slowly descend to fingertip level. Coloured lights imbue the scene with ever-changing hues and tints as a rippling puddle of water ceaselessly sloshes across the pool's see-through bottom. Four dancers slip and slide in rapturous motion inches above your heads. A sensuous, unearthly, nearly hallucinatory experience.
