The car came with two roof panels. A body colored panel (Velocity Yellow) and a translucent roof panel. Here's the translucent roof panel.

When I first saw this I thought it was someone spraying live, somewhat in the style of deuce 7, but when I looked closer I saw that it was a paste-up on translucent paper. I think this one looks a bit like the robot from Metropolis.

This was one of the cleverest art ideas I saw in the Portal. I would have loved to have shown a night-time of this but my camera just won't do nocturnal. What you see is a translucent sheet of plastic on a platform about four feet up. An artist would use his hands to paint on this all night long as music played. I saw doodles, poetry, sketches, all kinds of wonderful things as light played through the back. Would love to see a variant of this at other festivals.
